“Very basic”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 13, 2012

This hotel desperately needs updating and bringing up to standard holiday requirements ,although the apartments were very spacious and clean ,we went on an all inclusive basis which I would never do again as the food was almost in edible apart from the salad bar which was always fresh ,if you like pork you will be very happy . The actual town is wonderful and very Spanish , you could get excellent food and drink from the restaurants ,and the Spanish bars were superb much better than having to listen to karaoke and football blaring out all over . I would probably visit the town again but would not stay at this hotel .

I loved it but I have to admit I thought the facade was uninspiring and I intially felt disappointed. However once in the building I found the apartment clean and spacious with great facilities and the huge swimming pool and sun terrace was fab.

The building was a bit worn- shabby chic - but the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect with shops, restaurants and a wee town within walking distance. The huge salt water pool was amazing and so much fun. There was entertainment but it wasn't suitable for teenagers but then they like to do their own thing! My eight year old loved it! We went as a family of four and we all had great fun. We went full board for a week in October and we enjoyed the food and the availabilty of pool side refreshments.

Ignore negative comments - you'll grow to love this grey, concrete building - it's a fun place to be ! For architecture fans it's Le Corbusier like in style.

We went as a family of four and we had a great time,

We went all inclusive and the food was great.

Room Tip: Higher rooms were quieter than the ones near the pool

Hotel frontage is an eyesore. It's embarassing waking into the building which is made up of ugly grey concrete blocks, looks like a rundown 1970's carpark! Rooms large but very dated. Furniture, kitchen and bathroom old but clean. Be warned no air con. Hotel needs a total revamp. The food is very basic which would have been okay, it was the amount of flies that was a concern. We only ate breakfast here and had all our other meals out at either playa de las Americas or Los Christianos. The only good thing about this hotel is the pool. It's huge. However the tiles and facilities around the pool are delapitated. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Better off staying in a decent b+b in las americas for the same cost.

Just returned from 5 nights at this hotel, when i first saw it I thought OMG, the rooms were a bit outdated but were cleaned everyday, the food was terrible and there is a limited selection, the pool only gets cleaned once a week and gets very grubby quickly, there are always plenty sunbeds, tip - get the bus into las americas or christianos ist very cheap plus you get a decent meal.

Like a few on here , I was apprehensive after reading such negative reviews. Please don't be ! The hotel is clean , all staff friendly and the food , though not corden bleu was hot and plentiful with something for all tastes.
The huge pool was fun ! Waves crashing over the sides !!!
The entertainment was aimed primarily for the children but after a few vodkas .. Seemed fun.
Rooms were large, cleaned daily and had handy fridge and cooker for early coffee and cold drinks
The local town was very Spanish and the nearby harbour had good fish restaurants.

i took my two 14year olds for a week in the school half term have to say after reading all the bad reviews i was surprised how clean the hotel was the swimming pool was cleaned out twice while we was there and the food was ok yes it does need updating in some places but on the whole we had a really nice time, the entertainment is not to clever the people who do the parrot, snake, and eagle show are more intrested trying to get money out of you for there photos and anyone trying to take there own get blocked but on the whole iam glad we went .
