“Poor,very poor!”
Reviewed October 3, 2012

I have been in some tips in my time, but this place beats them all, everything is of a very poor standard.the pool is downright dangerous as we found to our cost when my daughter got her toe stuck in a cracked drain at the side of it,Nothing done about it but a slab put over it for someone else to trip over no doubt!
Food was disgusting, thats if you could get near it for the flys that seem to be all over the resort.
Staff seem disinterested in anything, and the entertainment was a shambles.
I usually like to give at least one positive in a review, but for this place I can't think of one!

All in all very very poor!

Room Tip: Don't go!

my husband and I are not frequent travellars but do read reviews before we go so thought this might be helpful. the hotel would of been fantastic when it first opened (we reakon 30 years ago). saying that the rooms were big and clean, they are in need of updating, but even so we found our room was fine. there is a digital safe (remeber to turn your mobile off or it clears the key card, we found this out but the staff were more than helpful, the locksmith was there within 1/2 hour to sort it), there is no air con so we had our windows open all night (which was fine because your on the coast and we were on the third floor), the pool was clean and cleaned whilst we were there the only down side to the pool area was when the staff cleaned it they left debris around the edge of the pool. the food was average but there was plenty of it and there was enough selection. the waiting and bar staff were all friendly and helpful, the enterainment staff was aweful as was the entertainment, we had to endure the wails of adele hour after hour as there was noone to change the songs, and when it wasnt adele it was local spainsh music (which isnt a problem if you have it in small doses)we even got a xmas song thrown into the mix!. we enjoyed our break, but wouldn't go back to the hotel unless it had been revamped, we walked round one part of the hotel to find it being proped up las galletas is also in need of an over haul. it does seem to be quite a run down part of the island. there is a harbour which we walked to on a few occasions, and near the harbour there are a few resurants where we had a beautiful paella!

Take note of this review!!!!!!
Our room got broken into on the second day and the staff was useless all they cared about was there television going missing from the room. Most of my partners cloths got taken, my suitcase aftershave, perfume, shoes, ntoiletries even his pants!
We had to book an appointment with the manager ourselves as he didn't care and nothing was being done. All he offered us was a free excursion (woohoo not).
He said the maids saw a young Spanish boy hanging around but nothing got done at all about it.
They let all the local Spanish kids through to the pool area so it was probably one of them.
When going to the police station they just pushed us to the side because we were English so being there for 2 days in a row I had enough and got told I can make a police report on the phone then had to go to a different police station and wait for 2 and a half hours to sit in the room for 5 minutes to sign a piece of paper.
The food was disgusting and flys were all over the food and nothing being done about it. When shopping for new clothes we got told ten bel was the worst area to stay in Tenerife.
Please listen to this review and don't stay there. I don't want you to go through what we had to!

Room Tip: If you do stay here ask for top floor for less chance of broken into!

Once again had a lovely time at this complex. Had only been 7 weeks before so knew exactly what to expect, no surprises/ shocks this time!
Staff again were so lovely, we even managed to get the same room as the 1st one they offered us had a faulty safe so that was good, we knew exactly where we were going and what we were doing:)
Weather was lovely, met some really nice people:)
Valerie the entertainment lady left the 2nd day we were there which caused some disruption to the entertainment programme. There was a man going round trying to get people involved with stuff,he put big speakers right behind my sunbed which were crackly and way too loud which did irritate me; it interupted my siesta!:( That was the day we were leaving as well, which was a shame. The week had been sooo relaxing before this.) They do have music on in the bar which you can hear from the sunbeds, I don't know why he thought this was a good idea?
Whilst waiting for our pick up outside at the front of the hotel work was being done and concrete was being removed etc; so I'm sure it will be nicer to look at next time we go?
All in all a very relaxing, affordable break in beautiful, peaceful surroundings, love it!:)

Room Tip: Room 121 is near to the pool, bar and restaurant. Balcony over looks the lovely childrens play area...

having just returned from a week long stay , i can honestly stay its the worst place i`ve ever stayed. we arrived at lunch time , having walked through the door we entered a 1970`s time warp, the surly receptionist kept us waiting some time before aknowledging us , when we were finally given our room key we set off in search of our room. the long long corridors gave us the impession we were staying in some kind of old style institution !!! on entering our room , we tried not to be too dissapointed, it was clean , but so dated , every electric socket was coming away from the wall , the shower was old and would only give us a weak trickle of water. We then made our first visit to the resturant, the food was appalling , so much so on some occassions we couldnt make out what the food acctually was or what creature it used to be, and there were flies everywhere and i mean everywhere, on the food, on the floor on tables , in the bar area they were all over the drinks machine , the barman would then spray everything with flyspray ... revolting. A dog that was locked on a balcony nearby, barked from the early hours EVERY DAY, until the owner came back at around 4ish ! Now we come to the pool, the pool is the biggest pool i`ve ever seen in my life, and is filled with sea water , the sea actually crashes over the wall into it, this was a stunning sight and quite a novelty , except the whole time we were there no-one cleaned the pool at all and by our final day the pool was very very murky and people were actually writing there names in the algi on the bottom of the pool. ( nice ) The entertainment was terrible , the girls that ran it didnt have a clue , they had there favourite guests and everyone else might as well not have been there, and hows this for family entertainment , they had a beauty contest where firstly the girls had pretend to strip and perform a lap dance on 2 poor fellas from the audience then they had to play a game where they had to grab each others boobs and backsides , just what you want your young children watching. so we ventured into the town , which is very very traditional and that was fine but we thought we`d give the local irish bar a look, Mmmmm no one could speak english and then they put a van- morrisson tape on ( promising , we thought ) except it was in spanish , there was nothing to do in the town and half the resturants were closed , so to get a a decent meal we had to get the bus to other towns . back at the hotel the concrete was falling off the building and it just looked like it needed knocking down and starting again .On a possitve note the waiting staff and bar staff couldnt have been better, they were lovely , a credit to a hotel that doesnt deserve such loyal staff, but the entertainment crew need to get a new career , because they are in the wrong job , i would not go back here if i was paid to do so , and i think 3 stars is 2 stars to many.

Good Hotel. First off your not getting a 5 star service here, so don't go in expecting the Four Seasons.
Hotel is clean, rooms are spacious, staff are friendly and geniune (something that I think is missing from places that are supposedly top class). No AC in our room, so quite hot at night especially for a pasty Irish lad like me.Pool is really really nice. Resturant food is basic but ok.
Went on a family holiday with my son and wife for five days, our little fella is only 2 so didn't really take in any of the shows he seemed more concerned with running up and down the ramp from the swimming pool to the resturant than anything else.
The hotel itself needs repairs and coat of paint, that said it didn't affect us one bit. You get what you paid for, and in this instance we got more as the staff were great, and really made us feel special every time we dealt with them. (look for Maria in the resturant a geniunely lovely person)
Book it if you want a cheap holiday with no frills.
Don't book it if you want he five star treatment.( you'll get it from the staff but not from the place)

Room Tip: Don't know if the rooms have AC but definately check it out if you can. Tenirefe is warm at nigh...

First impression of the hotel as we arrived was not bad. The room was clean and spacious, however as we explored the hotel it was badly in need of modernization. Most areas were in a poor state of repair.
The pool was good but had to be emptied three times within two weeks due to mud/sand and seaweed being washed over the sea wall.
The food was not good. Most meals were only warm and floating in oil and great if you like pork as it was on the menu almost every day. Nothing specific for children. Salads were ok.
We were all inclusive all drinks were fine but we had some meals out just to have a decent meal.
