“Very friendly restaurant with good local food”
Reviewed September 4, 2013 via mobile

This unpretentious place has a varied menu and catered for our mix of veggies, fish and meat eaters. Sadly the lake perch was finished but there was fera and the perch friture was very tasty with a light batter. Smoked salmon salad helpfully provided without the ham was good as were the pizza and burger. Good banana split to follow. So good food at a competitive price, given how expensive the area is.

“Very good restaurant - recommended”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

Ate lunch in Les Tilleuls yesterday. We both ordered fresh fish from lake Annecy (supplied by Bernard Kurt - professional fisherman nearby in Duingt). The filet of fera was very good - well prepared and served with quality vegetable side dishes. The fresh fish "burger" was good, but would probably not order it again as it's a shame to grind up fresh lake fish to make a burger patty. We shared a starter of friture (small fried fish from lake Annecy) which was excellent.

Les Tilleuls advertise the fact that they are a Maitre Restaurateur (http://www.maitresrestaurateurs.com/en/). This is something to look for as it's a commitment that they prepare their dishes in the kitchen from raw ingredients and dont simply buy in frozen boil in the bag dishes from Makro (apparently 4 out of 5 french restaurants now do this)

They serve an excellent value fixed price, fixed menu lunch during the week at a price of EUR12.50. Very popular with local building site workers.

Bill was ~60EUR for one shared starter (friture), two fresh fish main courses, a carafe of wine and a coffee. Not cheap, but not expensive either given the ingredients are sourced locally and freshly prepared.

Great terrace for eating outdoors in the summer.

One area to improve that meant four stars instead of five. When we arrived, the owner came out and her greeting was awkward & not the most friendly (the other staff we encountered later were better).

If you're on holiday in St. Jorioz area, you wont go wrong here. Probably the best restaurant locally. Fact that they stay open over the winter when the only clients are locals is a good sign.

“Perfect end to a perfect day”
Reviewed July 28, 2013 via mobile

10 cyclists descended on Les Tilleuls the night before L'Etape du Tour and then to celebrate our completion of one of the Tour de France stages. We couldn't have had a better choice of pre- and post- ride food. Great service from an eager team. Lovely garden and terrace. We all left very well fed and happy ... and having found Les Tilleuls on TripAdvisor, it fell to me to write this review. Monsieur le Patron: thank you.

“Wonderful food”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

By mistake, I ordered the "large" Italian salad which was huge, but perfect. In fact every time we visited the meals were all fabulous, and large! I can recommend the Caramelita as a dessert which you just have to make room for.

I loved this restaurant and would consider going back to the area for just that, the food and the staff were great.

“Lovely location and quality food”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

Stopped here for lunch after cycling and swimming on Sunday. Though it was quite warm already the terrace was shady and had a light breeze so was comfortable even in the heat. The service was attentive, even though they were full, and the food was very good, made with high quality ingredients prepared in-house. My smoked salmon salad was especially good, though too much for me (will admit that we took home some of the extra smoked salmon and had it for the evening apéro) and my companion´s ¨burger¨ (fish) was also excellent. Our meal was accompanied by a very nice chilled bottle of rosé :) We will definitely return.
