“Excellent Friendly Site”
Reviewed September 2, 2012

Just spent 9 nights at this site and had to right a review after reading the not so good ones on here.

The staff were very friendly and helpful I was met with a "Bonjour Mr Reader" as I was the only English caravan arriving that day which I thought was a nice touch.

The toilets were always cleaned everyday and there's toilet roll !!!

Our pitch was near the entrance and I have to say the road noise was never an issue.

As for no path all you have to do is cross the road and there's a path/drive access road running along the main road which is perfectly safe, or you can use the cycle path behind the site which quite a lot of walkers did.

You don't have to pay to use the pools but if you lose your wrist band its 1.50euro for another one!

Its a family friendly site and yes during the day there's kids running around but every night by 2100-2200 the site was quite.

In just 18 months of caravanning we have stayed in 8 French sites and this is one of the best, it has a really nice and safe feel to the site.

The bakery each morning sorted out breakfast and bread and the restaurant was good to.

We will be returning next year.

August 2012. Have just returned from 2 weeks at this site. The site is not as busy or noisy as many Eurocamp/Keycamp sites we have visited in France and this made a pleasant change. Our 10 year old had a great time on the site and even our 15 year old enjoyed himself. We found the staff very helpful and friendly. The toilet blocks etc. were always spotless and the restaurant food excellent.
You do have to wear trunks in the pool, but this is fairly common in France.
We would recommend this site for any family with younger children and it is a great base for activities.

We have now had 2 enjoyable 12 night stays at Camping Europa (July 2011 & July 2012)
The site is excellant. The staff are very friendly & always helpful.
The site was always clean & pitches ample (Our pitch fitted our Bear lake 4 with front & side extensions, our Land Rover & trailer & still some room left)
The new addition to the pool area since our previous visit is great for kids.
The toilets & showers were always clean (apart from now & then when kids dropped loo roll on the floor)
We only used the restaurant a couple of times & the food was very good with prices comparable to restaurants in Annecy.
The site is near a main road & there is sometimes traffic noise but it never woke us up once asleep & there was little noise from people on site soon after dark.
Access from the site to the surrounding area is excellant.
My only small complaint is Wi fi on our pitch was patchy, but I would just walk to the covered area near the reception.
We would recomend the site & we definately may return in the future.

Just returned from 12 nights camping here in August. Overall we had a great family holiday, and we would return.

The site was nice, with good pools and a nice restaurant (although a bit expensive for the food served). Our pitch was quiet, shady (very welcome given the heat), and of reasonable size. The washing and toilet facilities were mostly clean.

And throughout our stay the staff on site (in reception and at the restaurant) were friendly and helpful (we did not have the bad experiences of others who have posted reviews).

Normally I would have rated the campsite 3 stars as it is everything one would expect of a family campsite. But I have given it an extra star because it is the location of the site which makes it special - lake Annecy & surrounding area is simply beautiful.

Stayed for 2 weeks the pool area is great for the kids well maintained and clean as it's relatively new. Though not open till 11am crazy.
The site however is situated right alongside the main road and is extremely noisy especially in the early hours and early morning and will keep you awake if you get a pitch nearer the road.
While we stayed the was no apparent respect for younger children who go to bed earlier. Children were running round screaming til near midnight, so with that and the traffic very noisy.
The staffs efforts to keep the toilets clean can only be described as poor and the 2 young lads who did it spent more time chatting than cleaning and it showed.
This is a great area to explore and the location is great. It's a shame the site don't see what they have and up there standards and make the site one you would want to return too.
Won't be recommending it nor going back....!

Dear foreigners, please follow my advice and select another camping for your trip to Annecy Lake.

The employees in this camping are as friendship as icebergs and you will be received like thiefs.
You will have to paid additionnal fees for every service (for example 2 euros to access swimming pool). You won't notice any efforts by employees to make your time more confortable.

The camping is place near an important road and the mobil-home are close from each other (about 1 meter between each one). So if you have young kids, it's not the place to be. If you are some friends, the military conditions on the noice won't be adapted to you as well.

I am french and have made my best to write in english to prevent you from going to this camping. So please, go to another one, there are a lot of camping not far and less expensive.
