I arrived Jember in the afternoon and knew it wasn't easy to reach Ambulu - the district where Tanjung Papuma located. It's about an hour or so by motorbike ride. Public transports are not available so yo need to rent a car or motorbike to get there. Typical Indonesian's tourism management, unfortunately. But once you get there, the view is breathtaking and you don't want to leave so soon. Walk up to get another angle of amazing view. And wait until the sunset time, so beautiful (if it isn't a cloudy or rainy day, obviously!). There are many restaurants serve local dishes and seafood while you wait.. try this one: Kedai Ibu Umi, serves octopus and more Indonesian dishes.
I hope someday I can be back here as much as I enjoyed my stay in Jember.
