“Perfect day At Perfect Venue”
Reviewed April 12, 2010

My husband and I were married at Ross Priory on 24th April 2009. The day was absolutely magical and I cannot recommend this venue enough.

The staff were so helpful and lovely - making sure that the full day ran smoothly and without a hitch. The views for the ceremony were breathtaking and every guest was full of compliments for the full day. The food was gorgeous and the evening buffet as perfect!

On the lead up to our wedding the staff were always on hand for me to make changes and never made it feel like a hassle (even though I am sure I was a pain).

The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous and teh second we drove up tp the front we knew this was teh venue for us. And the atmosphere of the place (like a huge houseparty) was just perfect!

The bridal suite was beautiful as well and I was sad to leave.

I cannot recommend this place enough!

We only got married yesterday, but instantly wanted to say thanks to Eleanor, David, Kate and the rest of the Ross Priory team. Our wedding ran like a dream and the service was second to none.

The venue itself has the perfect mix of grand, awe inspiring beauty and a down to earth cozy atmosphere - which is exactly what we wanted. The bedrooms have just been decorated apparently and they look lovely and the bridal suite is very special - with spectacular views over the loch. We had around 50 guests and we found the venue to be perfect for this number. The food was delicious and we had numerous positive comments from our guests.

We would 100% recommend this venue for your wedding!

Thanks

Gemma & James

Having read many reviews in the lead up to our wedding I was concerned when I read the tripadvisor review left by ashling82! I shouldnt have worried. The staff were absolutely fantastic. David, and his staff could not have been better. The day ran like clockwork and this is all down to them.

The food was AMAZING and has since been commented on by EVERYONE who attended. Accommodation was A1 and I cant wait to return.

My only complaint is that the Ross Priory staff were unable to clear the heavy fog. Maybe they can attend a course to try to solve this problem in future! lol

Ashling82 couldn't be ruther from the truth.

Beautiful building in a beautiful setting. The staff couldn't be more attentive if they tried, very slick and very professional. My compliments to the kitchen staff for a georgous meal all special dietry requirements were meet, special thanks to the waiting staff for a fantastic delivery. The rooms were fantastic, very clean and comfortable. The bar was efficently run and none of our 120 guests had to wait for service at the bar. Evening buffet was brilliant. We were waited on hand and foot, the staff and the settings made a special day an execptional occasion. Many many thanks to ALL at Ross Prioy

My wedding on Nov 19, 2009 was perfect, except for the staff. The Ross Priory was stunning. The food was delicious. The staff were incredibly rude. They treated myself, my husband and all of our guests like were were in the way. We were rushed through everything and talked down to. One of the senior staff members was drunk and the bar staff were drinking before the ceremony even began. Everything was closed up early and we were told to lock the building up. The guests being told to lock up the building so the staff could rush home, and I do mean rush, they literally ran out the door. Very displeased. I would not recommend this place to anyone for a wedding.

We got married at Ross Priory on the 7th of August and had the most pefect day - the weather was even sunny! The location of RP is just stunning and so many of our guests commented that it was the best wedding they had ever been too (half of our guests were from Australia and couldn't believe the venue & views). The food was delicious (canapes, 4-course dinner, evening buffet & breakfast) and the staff were amazing - we couldn't have asked for better service. We had also never seen the honeymoon suite and we were completely amazed - it was a gorgeous suite! I wouldn't hesitate recommending them to anyone as we had great service from the moment we booked and were really looked after by Eleanor and the staff on the day. I would also suggest using Mel the Ross Priory florist to organise your flowers and cake as she did ours (and organised getting the cake made) and everything was better than we could have ever imagined :-) Just a word of warning that due to licensing laws everyone that's not staying the night needs to have vacated the premises between 12am and 12:15am. We also had about 43 day guests which was a good number for the dining room and about another 20ish evening guests so people could still move around easily but it didn't look bare :-)

Got married at Ross priory 8th of Nov 09. This place is outstanding with great service and fantastic food. The building it's self is gorjus with great views of loch lomond. We booked all the rooms out for our guests to stay and everyone was happy, the lower ground rooms which have recently been added are really modern and spacious. Hopefully return in the future.
