“Good sit-in fish and chips restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2014

substantial helpings of good fish and chips at a reasonable price. A glass of wine or a can of beer, is available. The decor is very modest, but its a fish and chip store. It also serves mushy peas! truly a delicacy!

“Good size portions”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 29, 2013

Great fish and ship shop rum by a local family. Food is fresh and staff are friendly. You can phone ahead your order or order on line to beat the queues.

“Quiet lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 23, 2013

Ate here last weekend, lunch time on a Sunday. Me and my boyfriend were the only people sitting in to eat, but there was a steady flow of customers taking away for a Sunday lunch from what we could see. Food itself was lovely, a bit expensive for a chippy but nice big portions and classic chip shop chips. I had the steak pie and chips, lovely thick gravy and plenty of steak, pastry was a bit overdone but was still lovely. Boyfriend had fish and chips and again, massive portion and lovely batter and nicely cooked. Nice relaxing music and my boyfriend certainly enjoyed the sky sports on the telly! Would definitely eat there again if I had a bit of spare cash.

“Not much difference”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 17, 2013

2 of us in for fish and chips. We were informed that one meal was bigger and cost around £7, the other was smaller portion and cost around £4. I had the smaller portion - really little difference in portion size. Main difference was that I didn't have salad on my plate. That said, the food was certainly delicious and I would go there again.

“Shocking”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2013

Ordered a takeaway from here, not only did it take an hour the delivery driver didnt have change of a 20 and proceeded to shout at me because I didnt have a £10 note, the order was 11.60 you'd think hed have change of 20 but no he blamed me, needless to say bot only was he rude but then told me hed take my 20 for the food and bring me back my change when he was next out this way........ erm no chance just gave him back the order and phined elsewhere. Never ordering from there again, absolutely disgraceful place
