We stayed in a 3 bedroom lodge. Everything was brilliant and we couldn't fault anything.
Walking distance to the hotel and the Boathouse. Pool area was always warm and welcoming and perfect after a day's sightseeing. Be prepared to pay for electricity, but it wasn't as bad as anticipated. However, if you were there in winter I think it would be a different story.
The kitchen had everything you could think of - and more. Very comfortable pull down bed in the lounge meant that 4 single ladies could have our own space.
We looked at the Carrick Spa but decided it didn't look worth the extra as the pool at Cameron House looked better.

Amazing long weekend spent at Carrick Lodge. Fantastic facilities in the self catering lodge. It was huge with three bedrooms and bathrooms. Plenty of kitchen equipment (better than other holiday rentals) and lots of cutlery and crockery. Basic washing up stuff and tea/coffee etc all supplied.

Had use of the beautiful spa and all the hotel and lodge facilities. Great to be able to eat in the restaurants or cook in as we fancied.

Highly recommended.

Stayed at Cameron House for the Weekend 21st Sept 2013 It really is a magical place in a beautiful location. We had a standard room which was spacious & nicely decorated with a view of the Loch. I would rate breakfast could have been better, Dinner in the Boat House Restaurant (a less formal restaurant) as excellent. We had a trip on the Sea Plane which is on the loch right outside the Hotel & it was worth every penny. Also booked a boat trip via the Hotel max 10 people & that again was worth every penny. Would thoroughly recomend this hotel

Gorgeous lakeside setting with mountains in the background. My wife and I were on an eight day tour of Scotland and stayed in four places, two nights apiece. This was the only disappointment of our vacation. Its not a poor property, but just doesn't deliver an intimate setting or great food. When we visited there was a large business conference which booked all the drawing rooms in the only portion of the property that is actually a historic house and some of the restaurants. Sprawling contemporary wings have been added to the original mansion which is strange. Some of the service was very good and friendly, for example when I was up very early and the night desk attendant made me tea, and the concierge made some great recommendations for points of interest to visit. Alternatively, when we were checking out to leave for the airport we had to wait a half hour for our car because the doorman had driven folks to church. I asked for the keys to get it myself as we were anxious about losing so much time but he had taken them with him. He was miffed when I didn't tip him. Overall an ok place but we wont return.

We come every September and really love it. This year service has been improved and we've taken advantage of Cameron house more. A great destination if you want a mix of 5 star luxury, self catering, golf, spa and the beautiful Scottish outdoors.

Hotel and lodges set in such a perfect spot of Scotland but oh my goodness one problem really must be addressed. Dogs are welcome to stay which is fine but owners are not encouraged to clean up after them which is not fair on dog less visitors. We were blessed with warm weather while staying but this encouraged an odour which was truly disgusting. Our young children could not play on grassy areas because of the amount of dog dirt. This may seem trivial but it's really disgusting and a potential health hazard. I'm sure most dog owners are responsible but the hotel will have to clean up for those who refuse. Otherwise everything else fine, especially the dining which is fantastic.

Rented a Lodge with friends for a week and had a lovely stay. The lodges could do with a lick of paint on the outside but the interiors are superb. We occupied a 3 bedroom lodge and the rooms were super. The lounge, come kitchen was a lovely size, overlooking the 9th hole of the Wee Demon Course. We had a laundry room and sauna - anything extra we required we just had to phone maintenance and they were with us within 15 minutes. We had two themed evening meals at The Carrick Golf Course, and a courtesy bus collected us from Cameron House and took us to the Carrick (two miles away) and took us back to our Lodge later that evening.
We had one meal at Cameron House and one meal at the nearby Duck Bay Restaurant. We also
Had a lunch at The Boat House in the grounds of Cameron House. When staying at the Lodges
you can use the pool, fitness rooms and spa at Cameron House.
This is a superb location for exploring - Loch Lomond is beautiful and nearby there is a shopping outlet and Dumbarton Rock is worth a visit. Would highly recommend this venue.
