“Wonderful stay in an historic property.”
Reviewed November 4, 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Had a great 4 day stay here in Autumn half term. Lovely house which was really cosy with gorgeous grounds and incredibly comfy beds. It was the perfect place to relax and read a book in the evenings. During the day we had great trips to the Severn Steam railway, Worcester cathedral and Brockhampton Estate. Also great country pubs nearby. Highly recommended.

“Wonderful cottage, warm welcome, beautiful gardens and forest to explore”
Reviewed August 16, 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We booked Brook Cottage at the last minute for a two night stay before we moved to two week fixed accommodation for my sisters wedding in the Cotswolds! We were very pleasantly surprised with this gorgeous little cottage adjoining the main house. We had a separate entrance and private outdoor seating, with BBQ. The cottage is so cosy, reminds me of the movie, The Holiday! We were met by the part owner Jean, who is just lovely! The owners left a lovely welcome card and a tin of home baked chocolate cup cakes! The kids enjoyed them all... We were also told to explore the forest at the end of the garden which was amazing! The owners have transformed this beautiful forest area into an exciting adventure for children and adults, beginning with a map of the 100 acre woods and taking us through to Toad Hall, another small building with a bedroom and fire pit outside, sitting right next to an old Mill Pond and lots more... Thoroughly wonderful place to stay and a great location within 8 miles of Worcester!

“The Perfect Getaway”
Reviewed December 15, 2011 for a stay in October 2010

We enjoyed our three night's stay at Brook Cottage October of 2010 when my husband and I were traveling throughout England with his parents. It was our gift to them for their 50th wedding anniversary. Our time at Brook Cottage occurred in the middle of our two-week tour and was much welcomed as we were in need of a rest after several long drives.

An idyllic setting, surrounded by lush hills and farmland, it's the perfect place to relax, enjoy the well-marked walking paths around Martley, enjoy a meal at the nearby Admiral Rodney Pub, and/or take day trips out and about. The beautiful ruin, Witley Court is near by, and worth seeing. Drives to Tenbury Wells, and Ludlow are perfect day trips -- especially to purchase items on market days to bring back and cook in Brook Cottage's lovely kitchen which is fully equipped. We even headed out one day to visit Tewkesbury, Bibury, and Stow-on-the-Wold. It made for a long day, but being able to return to a place with all the comforts of home made it worthwhile.

The cottage itself is a two-story attachment to a very old, beautiful home. The two bedrooms are beautifully appointed, comfortable, and with fine linens to make sleep quite relaxing. The shower is powerful and hot, the bath comfortable. The grounds are lovely as well, and beautifully tended.

We enjoyed our stay (the best on our trip!) and especially enjoyed meeting our accommodating hosts. We live in San Diego, CA, so it can be a challenge to book vacation rentals in Europe because of the time differences, but Jean was prompt in her communications by email and provided lots of local information and history to help us plan our visit. She also had a delightful cake waiting for us upon our arrival!

We are hoping we'll be able to return in the not too distant future.
