Have stayed here several times and its always a magical experience. Wonderful hosts that make you very welcome. The worst part about staying at Bella beach is knowing that you will have to leave . We love this place so much we intend to holiday there every year if we can.Its easy to hire a car just up the road at Muri Beach which is so convenient. Great dining out and many choices. Just walking on magnificent beaches under the palms with nobody around and soaking up the sun in this tropical place is hard to beat. If you are feeling stressed and wound up then this place is a must. It is a real tonic for mind and soul.

We came to Bella Beach on the recommendation of other family, and thoroughly loved it. It is a beautiful setting right on the beach. So you can walk right into the lagoon with mask and snorkel, and watch the coral reef fish. This is a wonderful way to just kick back and relax, or hire a car or motor scooter for easy access to supermarkets, and other shopping. We will be back.

We left Bella Beach yesterday and I miss my hammock so much. And the snorkeling. And the little scooter. And the lovely hosts who made us feel so welcome at the airport. I miss the colourful fish on the reef. And the comfy deckchair and the Pawpaw restaurant just a short walk along the beach (make sure you book cos it's very popular). I miss the fresh fruit stand across the road. And the pure white sand and the friendly people fishing on the beach. I miss the palm trees. And the lagoon. And the mahimahi at the place by Captain Moko's. My morning swims! Bella Beach is the best kept secret on the whole island. Thank you Annabelle and the team. You have put so much effort into creating a special place for visitors to the Cook Islands. We will definitely be back.

We arrived Mar 27 and departed Apr 9. Was an incredible experience. There is nothing at ALL that I can say bad about this place or the people there. We were treated so well, had unreal snorkelling and swimming at the location. Everything that the previous people have mentioned is true, except the person saying the road was loud, it sure was not. Beach is so nice, white sand and lots of shells when the tide goes in and out. We travelled the whole island and found this is truly the best beach of all. Helen was the one who picked us up and dropped us off at the airport, she was more than generous and even had her husband pick up fish from the market one day for us. She brought us danishes on another day and the cleaning crew did a great job for the whole 2 weeks. we were so impressed and with our little guy, who was a year and a half, we had a great time. I felt safe and secure there even with a little one. the beach is perfect for kids, no waves and shallow with lots of fish. What can I say, we will be back and had a great time there.

Having been in the Cook Islands 15 years previously and found it charmingly laid back, my wife and I decided to forgo our usual mega all inclusive resort vacation and go back to Rarotonga for three weeks. Our neighbors back home in Canada suggested the Bella Beach so a quick e-mail got us one of the cottages except for the last few days when a wedding party had booked the whole place.
Arriving on the 7:00 A.M. ANZ flight out of L.A. we were immediately impressed with a lei greeting by one of Annabelle's staff who had come to pick us up.
The 20 minute drive to the Bella Beach confirmed that not much had changed in the Cook Islands since we were there last and I wondered if 3 weeks would be too long without the usual trappings of the all inclusive.
We ended up in bungalow 2 which should really be bungalow 1 since it is on the western end of the resort and we worried about noise or problems from the public park next door however that was not the case.
I would agree with the other posts on this site, that this resort has to offer the best value for the best location and quality of accommodation that you could ask for. The cottages are substantially self catering with cleaning weekly or on demand however we soon got accustomed to that and enjoyed the independence.
The beach is fantastic and is entirely child safe. The whole lagoon is a fabulous snorkeling experience with the deepest water not more than 8 feet around coral heads teaming with small fish.

Thoroughly reccommend staying here, its paradise, they have the best swimming beach, the best shells, no roosters to wake you up,although you automatically want to wake up early.
Annabelle and her team make you feel really welcome the minute she picks you up (even when your flight arrives at 1 in the morning).Their attentiveness to our holiday needs was excellent, We felt safe and looked after through the whole of our holiday which lasted 11 days.
We stayed here and our freinds stayed at a popular resort, our freinds spent most of their time on our side of the island!
My partner and I are'nt to keen on crowds,so it was the perfect holiday
We definately will be back to stay, while we were at the bungalows there were alot of repeat guests,I suggest getting in early to book here....because we will be

My partner and I spent a few days at Bella Beach Bungalows before heading off to a hotel.

The bungalow was literally right on the beach edge, with the hammock in just the right place. The beach out the front of the bungalow was pretty much the best beachfront on that side of the island for a peaceful relaxing dip away from the crowds.

Would go again!

There is a bus stop right outside – 10 trip concession tickets can be purchased.

Great local restaurants

Little Polynesia (we went twice we liked it so much)
