Nice beach, quieter side of the island, better snorkelling. Good food stalls on side of road for passionfruit, avocado, oranges (local)

“The best beach on the Southern side of the island”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

In my opinion the beach at Titikaveka is the best beach on the southern side of the island. I was lucky enough that my hotel was located directly on this beach. The beach is quiet and peaceful with a white sandy beach and crystal clear and warm waters of the lagoon.
The lagoon is shallow with some great snorkelling as the reef starts at the shoreline.

“Relax, Swim Snorkel - It's got it all”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

This is a wide sandy beach at low tide where you can swim without encountering too much coral. The lagoon is wide and shallow. There are many varieties of marine life that can be observed just by wandering along the waters edge. Snorkling in this area is a delight. The beach is well protected and safe for swimmers of all ages and abilities. Beachside tables and chairs are available under shady trees. Just make sure that you are not under a coconut palm or you might get a nasty surprise.
