I did a trip with 6 other people in April. Almost as soon as we set off from Carbost a golden eagle flew across us and landed in a tree - Steve immediately stopped the boat so that we could try and get photos. Then we were just able to spot a sea eagle sitting on the next but he/she wouldn't be enticed down for fish. We carried on round to Talisker Bay to pause for coffee and suddenly found ourselves surrounded by a pod of dolphins. We abandoned the rest of the trip to stay and watch as they entertained us, swimming round and under the boat, jumping and diving with their young. It was one of the most magical experiences of my life. Steve's knowledge of wildlife is fantastic and he's a great host. i recommend the longer trip so that you see more of the coastline - the boat is very steady so it's a pleasant ride. Nobody can ever guarantee what wildlife you'll see on this type of trip but you can guarantee you'll have a good time, you'll learn lots and the views are spectacular. Will definitely be doing a repeat trip next time I'm on Skye.
