Found there to be TOO MANY of those DO THIS, DO THAT signs all over this campsite.

Its in the back of beyond if you plan on travelling here.
Closes at 6pm so if you are 10 mins late like we were you have no electricity.

Exposed to the wind and unfriendly.

I did not enjoy this campsite at all

What an amazing find! To be fair, the weather helped as we had sunshine all the way. But the stunning setting of the Cuillins behind us and the rolling waves of Loch Brittle in front would have been amazing in any weather. A lovely, laid-back feel to the campsite, with excellent basic amenities and very friendly staff (be warned, no wifi or 3G coverage, but that actually feels like a bonus in this beautiful spot). Fantastic walking territory but we spent most of our time gazing with awe at the ever-changing moods of the mountains as the sun and clouds passed over them, and in the evenings, sitting on the beach with a wee dram and marvelling at the breathtaking clear skies and shooting stars.

This campsite was highly rated and it didnt disappoint. The never ending road to the site is an indication to the remoteness of the location, We had mountains to the rear of us and the sea in front of us - it was heaven!
There are fields where you can pitch up but we chose the roadside grass to be on our own with uninterrupted views of the sea. Def a good choice!
The facilities aren't luxurious but that shouldn't be what you are going to this site for. Having said that, the toilets and showers were kept clean and despite there only being 3 showers in the ladies, there was never a queue when I wanted to use them.
This is a stunning location, whether or not walking is your thing, you should go there,

Beautiful spot on a lovely beach. Quite a trip to get there on single track road. Basic facilities, but all you need is there, even a well stocked shop. Scenery is breathtaking at the foot of the Cuilins. We had a spot next to the beach, where you can have a great campfire at night.

We have just returned after staying for three weeks on the Glen Brittle Camp site, this is our seventh year at returning, its an amazing place with such beauty its absolutely breath taking, the camp site is just what you need with very clean showers and toilets and a great camp site shop run by Colin and Liz with fresh bread baked on a daily basis, the shop itself has everything you would need from milk to toiletries, midge repellent to tents, fishing reels and lures, this was my first year at fishing with my husband and with his help and the advice from Colin in the camp site shop i did a great job at catching our tea. The only downsides i can grumble about are the inconsiderate car park drivers that come just for the beach or walking and have no consideration for people driving through to get to the camp site by trying to park thirty cars in a car park designed for about fifteen, making it very dangerous for camp site users to get through safely and also the useless stand in at the camp site shop when Liz and Colin were on their days off, she was giving out bad and sometimes dangerous information regarding walking on the rocks to avoid the long walk to Carbost, also not as friendly as Liz when you entered the shop, she would rather sit with a book than make conversation with you, and also whenever she was on duty you needed to take your own toilet paper into the bathrooms, and also make sure you ask for your shower tokens from her because she would never give you them.

Stayed here for 3 nights when my husband was doing the Cuillin Traverse to complete his Munros.
Got an electric hook up for our tent, only 8 pitches with electric hook up right at the front by the beach, next door to the toilet and shower block. Great shop on site with all you would need and very well stocked. No phone signal but pay phone beside shop. Great location, real feeling of space. Toilet block and showers basic but clean.

Room Tip: Book if you need electric hook up only 8 on site

Very remote (~10 miles to the next pub), but next to the sea, great views to mountains, lonely, calm, great hiking around.

The campsite features a basic shop, but it's really basic. I wish they'd sell something more "natural" like fruits. But if you come equipped with those basics, they sell some more "junky" food like chips, chocolate bars, milk, jam etc.

The bathrooms were basic, but clean, warm water and up to the expected standard for such a remote place.
