Ideally located in the centre of corbridge, an excellent base for exploring Hadrians wall and Northumbria, very comfortable accommodation, good value for money.
Excellent facilities in the heart of Corbridge ,will look forward to staying again.
Excellent position for town amenities, lots of good eating places, good bus service to Newcastle and Hexham. Downside is 3 sets of steps to top bedrooms, a bit noisy early in the morning due to delivery trucks and traffic on main road through town. Church bells also ring all night.
Overhaul the property is very good
My son and I spent an excellent week in this well equipped two floor apartment situated above shops in the middle of Corbridge. The residence was smart , clean and well equipped and the owner was extremely helpful and informative; from information on local history and places to visit, recommendations for places to eat and even being very sympathetic when I locked us out on our last evening! Parking at the premises was welcome with the Corbridge Roman site, river walks and local pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Hadrians Wall and related sites were a short drive away. Holy Island was just over 90 minutes drive. We've left plenty to see so will be back with the rest of the family!
The Old Exchange Corbridge was recommended by a friend. She certainly got it right. Not only is it located in the heart of charming Corbridge, it is lovely and comfortable as well ~ with all the conveniences of home.
Would have got 5 but could not find the iron on morning of wedding friends came to the rescue who were staying nearby ,perfect very comfortable in every other way
We stayed here for a week whilst on holiday from Australia. The accommodation is charming, steeped in history (last operating exchange in Europe) and furnished to 5 star standards. Attention has been paid to every detail in this place and it is truly a home away from home.
The Black Bull pub, Angel Inn are all just a 2 minute stroll away and there are some lovely cafes and quaint shops in Corbridge. We were there during the Corbridge festival and thanks to John who doubled up as the Santa, our children had an exciting time.
The whole family thoroughly enjoyed the stay and we will certainly be back again. I whole heartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a break in the North East. And thanks John for having us, we will certainly be returning.
