“Nice and peaceful hotel on the Leman lake”
Reviewed November 24, 2013

The location is excellent - on the Leman lake, nice and quiet area, not far from Geneva. The room was nice and comfortable with a balcony view of the lake, with a bathtub and even a coffee corner. The wifi didn't work so well in our room.

Room Tip: View of the lake. If you need the WiFi check which rooms get it best.

This is a lovely place to stay on Lake Geneva, so tranquil and peaceful.
The staff were very helpful and friendly, the facilities were good! Free parking on site, free wifi, even tea making in the room, which for Europe is rare!
The rooms were very nice, with wonderful views of the lake from the front of the hotel.
Although on the French side of the lake only a few Km away from the Swiss boarder! So very easy to travel to the Swiss Alps! And other places on the lake! Which is wonderful!!
We couldn't fault it and will return next year when travelling in that area!

Room Tip: Ask for a lake view!

Arrived at the hotel not expecting to be so delighted with our choice.
The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms clean and comfortable, and the food exceptional.
Only down side was that the wine was rather expensive, it would have been nice to be able to have a reasonable priced house wine. I used the pool, which was well kept and warm for a mid June holiday. I would return and recommend this hotel to anyone going to this area.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a lake view.

Nice room and view, great breakfast buffet. Dinner is on the pricy side, which seems to be a standard in the area. Not very happy with the wine list. No possibility to have a board and iron in the room, wifi kicks us out of all sites with potential downloads, which includes the iTunes Store, not what I would call an illegal site, however one I work with since I extensively use pro apps to function. Also streaming is very difficult, gave up after three attempts.
For a tourist's stay I would recommend the half board option because the food is good and that option makes it then a very good value, see if you can bring your own wine with a corkage fee. A good place to relax, right on the lake with pool and tennis court, access to a private pier and a nice beach. Abondance is not very far and a really nice place for a day trip if you like the mountains, good cheese and hiking. The Evian bottling plant is a also a cool visit. I came to visit a prospect in Geneva and because I have friends in the area. But would opt for a Geneva hotel next time I have to come for pure business, and keep this one for a vacation.

We originally selected this hotel because it offered parking and had good reviews, and on arrival we realized that its location was wonderful. It is off the main road, situated right on the lake and beside a large public park that offers a walking trail along the lake. Our room (20) was on the top floor with a beautiful view of the lake and was so quiet. The room was spacious and well-furnished and the bath was quite large. An elevator made taking our luggage to the top floor easy. The hotel restaurant has wonderful lake views, but we found the service rather chaotic. That might have been because a large tour group was also dining while we were there. They also were staying at the hotel and we believe they all decided to take a shower at the same time the next morning! The night before our water pressure had been fine, but in the middle of my shower/bath the next morning I suddenly had no water for a few minutes! Other than this momentary inconvenience, we would recommend this hotel for its comfort, quiet and beautiful location, friendly staff who spoke English well, beautiful restaurant next door and its value.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a lake view. Some rooms had showers but our room had a very large tub with a ha...

We found this hotel at the tourist info in Yvoires. My priorities were a pool and quietness. We are world wide travellers (all classes of hotels) and this exceeded expectations. It was rated 2 star in the T.I. brochure, but deserved far more. (Does say 3 * at the hotel). Spotlessly clean, comfortable, pool and pool area beautiful with an undercover seating area with comfortable chairs and sofas, a tenis court! Staff extremely pleasant and helpfull. Beautiful restaurant overlooking the lake, 5* interior and excellent food. Very good value for money. Lovely area of the lake. Don't like to recommend as everyone wants different things, but if this is what you want - would recommend- we will stay there again when we return to the area.

Room Tip: We had room 36 which was on the side. Not the best view we have ever had, but it did look over the h...

I would like to confirm that this hotel is well located, with beautiful views on the Leman lake, a rather pleasant backyard garden, tennis court and swimming pool. The room was small but recently renovated. The breakfast was rather basic but good.
The restaurant, where we had our dinner, is really on the lake itself. Closed windows prevent clients from mosquitoes and other insects. The service was efficient and pleasant, and the quality of the meals was not exceptional, though well-above the idea we had in mind after reading previous comments. The fish was just too much fried.

Room Tip: Do not expect to get a room with a view on the lake if you are there for one night.
