This hotel! Claims you can come
and totally relax! And enjoy wellnes!

They state on there webpage that
Its family run!

And it shows!

They let familys do and behave
as they like!

My first night at the 4 star restaurant there was a family with tree small children that was screaming and hitting the porslin with out there parents intervening!

So every other customers had there
dinner completely ruined!

That was a real shame because the three young people working here was realy nice and apologetic and understanding and the food was good as well!

This family treated the hotel like a Spanish seasort the had all sorts of beach toys and let there children totally dominate the relax zone and pool at the hotel! The childrens screams were audible 4 levels above the pool!

I tryed to politely talk to the management but they did not do anything!
They did not care at all!!!

The second night the restaurant were empty exept for the family and me..!

I Wonder why........

Some familys treat all public places
as McDonalds no respect what so ever..!

On the mornings the cleaner who did an exellent job by the way, started wacuming at 07.30 even on sundays..!

If you want wellnes and relax!

Dont stay here!!!

You can easily find other hotels nearby and still enjoy the sigts and sceanary!

Dear Jorn,

Thank you for the compliments of our kitchen, our employees and our hotel. We appreciate the positive feedback.

We will also remember your stay in our hotel, as we did everything to accommodate and make your stay pleasant. We served you our full menu to your hotel room, so you were not disturbed by the children.
We allowed you to enjoy your breakfast in a completely separated part of the second restaurants so you were not disturbed by the noise of the children.

We really cannot understand your behavior and your hostility toward children, but that said we are not a children free Hotel, these beautiful 3 kids were well behaved and their parents were looking after them.
And we will not accept a behavior like yours in the future as all guests including children are treated with respect in our establishment.

We are sorry about you dissatisfaction in other people’s children and the manner in which they behave, this has nothing to do with our service and quality standards we offer our guests.

We are happy you liked the food and thank you for the acknowledgment of how much the employees tried to make you happy.

Regards

Situated in the Black Forest, South West Germany.
This wonderful, family maintained, hotel is a place to cheerfully sing about.
We were lucky enough to be here, over Christmas and New Year,
and we were treated to spectacular festive food with live music and singing.
Dancing into the New Year was a pleasure, that we were relaxed enough to fully enjoy.

This 4 star hotel, actually, gets a five star rating from me. On account of the genuinely cheerful “good mornings” from the staff who keep the rooms in immaculate condition.
Breakfast is a real pleasure here. The variety and quality of food lets you know, first thing in the morning, that you are dealing with a chef who knows exactly what he is doing.

We experienced friendly staff in traditional local costume. Always caring, and happy to top up the coffee jug. The service was a delight. It was also a treat to admire the artistic Christmas decorations; The Christmas trees, providing an atmospheric light, both outside and inside.
Always something for explorers to focus their eyes on.

The refreshing local walks included a circuit that traced the footsteps of famous philosopher Martin Heidegger, from his modest house all the way around a nearby village. His search for the truth of ‘being’ sparked a coherent body of thought known as existentialism. But it is also a wonderful place to enjoy a lunch with skiers providing dynamism to a beautiful wonderland scenery.

Returning to the hotel for a swim in a large pool. It is warm enough to relax by the pool afterwards. For the more adventurous there is a Spar area with saunas to explore in the basement.
Eventually emerging relaxed and contented for the evening meal that you have been wondering about since breakfast. The food is excellent of course, and as you would expect from this region, the wine is too.

While in the midst of an evening coffee, and a chat with other guests, you may even notice yourself looking forwards to the next days cheerful good mornings. What a pleasant atmosphere. No wonder some guests return year after year to savour it.

Room Tip: Check that the room is suitable for wheelchair if required. Check that the door to bathroom can accommodate a wheel chair. My room was very spacious but a wheelchair wouldn't have got through the opening to the huge bathroom.

I've stayed in this hotel for 2 nights with my 2 children. We had a spacious, comfortable and clean room for 3. Food in the restaurant is lovely. The region is fantastic for hiking. The staff does some efforts to speak english.

Second time that we stayed in this hotel. Hotel is ideal for walking, bikeing, moto, car -and bus trips.Hotel is situated on top of a 1100 metres mountain, with as a result a beautyful view. It must be nice in winter I guess, but we have been here only in summer.Rooms are a bit dated, but nice and equiped with all thats needed for a good stay.
Staff very helpful and friendly. the owner is cooking every night a wonderful menu, with saladbar, soup or entree , fish or meat or veggie, and dessert. Price of the wine is very reasonable. (If you take the house wine "offene weine"),
Price quality is top, and for us this hotel is one of the best we haven been in Germany. We will be back.
