I stayed in this hotel for sadly only 1 night early June when the weather was just amazing. So arriving at such a lovely place with such great rooms and great food was a real high.

David was welcoming from the start and continued throughout the sadly short stay. This place is such a great find and I am almost tempted NOT to post such a glowing review as you will all want to come. Well do come but try and stay away when I want to come back !!!

It's tucked along quite a windy road but the journey is part of the experience I would say. Loads of attention to detail in the rooms and the restaurant. The food was all just too good to review so I will simply say try absolutely anything and I would be shocked if you did not like it. Staff are great and very helpful but will not be adopting the Scallop Sushi we were served at the place we stayed the night before. Cannot say I blame them in that.

One review I note mentioned the "extremely comfortable bed and softest bed linen I've ever come across". I would concur with that totally.

A fab breakfast topped off a too-short stay. Will be back for sure. Thanks to all the staff for a great stay and great mien-hostery.

We stayed a night recently here. It was in every way a fabulous experience. The hospitality and service were first rate. The dinner and breakfast were of the highest standard and the setting was fist rate. It was all faultless.

This was our first time to the Kilberry Inn and we will certainly be back, we arrived at lunchtime and were warmly welcomed by David. Our room was very comfortable and very well appointed. We decided to have lunch and it was delicious as was the dinner in the evening. David made us feel very welcome and was very helpful with his suggestions as to where we should cycle.

Thank you again for a magical time at your Inn.

Lunch at the Inn today - reviews here and recommendation in Scotland the Best proved to, if anything, to be understated. It is a charming room with great food and consummate host in David. Great attention to both food quality and presentation. Took a look at the accommodation and this would be a super base (as long as you don't mind single track roads) for the Kintyre area. Highly recommend.

My wife and I have just returned from a two day break at the Kilberry Inn. We used this as a base to tour the area. We are not surprised that many of the other guests were regulars as this is a great place to stay. A number of the visitors were en route to Islay and stayed here for the one night to break their journey.
The Inn advertises itself as a restaurant with rooms. There are five such rooms located in outbuildings. I am sure our room was typical of the rest. It was a good size, very clean and comfortable with a very modern en-suite facility and a number of nice thoughtful touches. The restaurant occupied the main building that features in the website. This had an intimate, cosy and welcoming ambience enhanced by the friendly hospitality afforded to every guest by David and his front of house team. We noted that the restaurant had a well deserved entry in the 2013 Michelin Guide. Great breakfasts! A definite for another visit. Don't by put off by the fact that the hotel is 16 miles along a single track road. The road has an abundance of passing places and the views across to Jura and Islay are stunning.

Well, what can i say?, we returned to the Kilberry Inn for the 3rd time in 2 years and each time seems to be better than the last.
Firstly, the food, its simply stunning, good local produce, perfectly cooked, interesting combinations, imaginatively prepared, i could go on, but i would run out of compliments. Just do yourself a favour and eat there.
Leaving the kitchen, we must speak of David, the undoubted star of the front of the house, your genial host if you will, funny, chatty, attentive and up for a good time, he has a style of his own and i like it, along with his "friendly" measures. If you dare, let David choose your wines for dinner, you wont be disappointed.
The 2nd night we were their dinner turned into what was almost a private dinner party with friends, friends we had never met before!, but the craic was excellent.
Our room was called "Islay", we had stayed there last year but it has since been refurbished to a very high standard indeed, with a fabulous walk in shower.
Kilberry is a very different kind of place to go for a break, its not a resort hotel, there isnt a leisure centre, but what it has is a relaxed atmosphere and a slow pace, and that is hard to beat.

Room Tip: They are all lovely.

My wife and myself had 3 wonderful days in this stunningly beautiful location and area. But the time was made even more wonderful by the hospitality of David and Clare. David's front of house friendliness, knowledge and helpfulness and Clare's superb cooking making the most of the magnificent local produce makes your visit truly memorable. The bedrooms are extremely comfortable and ideal for a country inn.
On top of that when I had a puncture in run flat tyres with a long journey to be made, David took it upon himself to source a replacement which really saved the day.

David and Clare many thanks for a great 3 days. You do Argyllshire and Scotland proud.
