Dining here is an entire travel experience in itself. The host is warm, accomplished, and urbane. One feels like old friends of his. His art (sculpture and paintings) is everywhere -- not obtrusive, but provides a wonderfully sensory addition to the crackling of the fire in the oversized fireplace. And the food? Oh my! Both traditional and creative, it leaves you with the happy sense of having dined to perfection. Don't mean to be fulsome, but this restaurant is outstanding in my book.
