Carol and I were married on Sunday the 27th October at the best wedding venue you could ever dream of, The Moorepark House Hotel in kilburnie. We viewed this fantastic venue firstly on line, and right away had to pay a visit, it was one of the best decisions were ever likely to make, as we approached the gates at the bottom of the drive, we were blown away and it only got better and better, as we walked in the front door we just knew that we had found our perfect setting, don't know what to say about Jackie because I've read all the reviews before mine so I can only repeat, so down to earth and so laid back, a true professional,we enjoyed every meeting we had with Jackie, nothing was too much trouble with her, from requesting our choice of flags on the flagpoles to changing meals and seat arrangements the very day before our wedding, you would simply be mad not to visit this stunning hotel. The food was the best I've ever tasted, fantastic, the rooms are beautiful and spotless, the staff very pleasant and very helpful, if you wanted anything, you only had to ask and it was done. This place has it all and much much more, from the beautiful marble room to the open fire in the marvelous gold room to the brilliant oak staircase with stand glass windows and to finish it all off the ball room was set exactly as we requested, everyone is still talking about the best wedding they've ever been too, the only downside is that it had to end, so on that note my wife and I would like to thank Jackie and staff for giving us a memories that will last a lifetime.

This is the most amazing place. My other half found it whilst looking online and I'm so glad he did. We booked without seeing the place in real life, but when we finally got round to visiting I was in awe. Fell in love instantly. Gorgeous. Such a lovely atmosphere. The photos were great but honestly, you need to see the place for yourself. It was utterly perfect from the moment I booked on the phone until the moment we left after the most perfect wedding day!
I have to give a massive thank you to Jackie and Graham who treated us like an old friends and made the entire day go so smoothly. They recommended our celebrant, who just made the ceremony, complete with laughs and all. Also recommended the brilliant DJ, who catered to my weird tastes without question :) Jackie knows her stuff!
The food was just lovely. Fab selection and they're flexible too for fussy eaters, like me. We had over 100 people for the meal and I had many compliments how the food was served quickly and hot and cleared without fuss. A further 80 odd guests at night were welcomed perfectly. The staff were brilliant. The bar was kept open late after guests had left and it was just the bridal party. Sitting curled up by the fire, I've never felt more at home. Magical.
The rooms are all clean and cosy and very unique. Family and friends loved checking out each others rooms. Our rooms (the honeymoon suite) were fabulous and the jacuzzi was the perfect way to relax from all the shenanigans the night before. A travel cot was provided and set up for our little one. Lots of little touches, things that made life that little bit less stressful. Double beds can be swapped to twin beds and pull out beds for kids available too.
Breakfast the next morning catered for everyone. Great selection. Even kept my fussy 6 year old happy! Cracking cuppa tea too. It's things like this that are important ;)
In short, this place is stunning at ANYtime of the year. Photos are simply gorgeous. The food - excellent. The service - faultless and friendly. Jackie and Graham were a total godsend and I was really sad when it came to hometime. Big love to Veronica too. Absolute gem <3 I cannot recommend this place highly enough! And the general consensus from friends and family on both our sides..."Best wedding EVER!" "Can you renew your vows soon so we can do it all over again?!" "We want to stay here forever!" "That was a rare wee cuppa tea you know." xXx

Room Tip: Any one of them, they are all lovely!

Wow....where do we begin? We booked Moorpark House after our very first visit. Not only was the venue everything we were looking for in location, style and atmosphere it came with the added benefit of having Jackie there as our unofficial wedding planner.
We took over the house from the Friday morning and left at lunch time on the Sunday and every minute of every hour was amazing. Let break things down.....

The Venue
It is a beautiful house that is a piece of history and yes as such it may have a few windows where paint is peeling, or a few minor wear or tear but lets be honest that is where its charm lies. As soon as the fires are roaring, music is playing and it is full of family and friends it becomes magical.

Food
Every element of the food we ate was fantastic and to a very high standard. We arranged sandwiches for our house guests on the Friday lunch and a hot 2 course meal on the Friday evening. Both were great and really well received by all of our 27 guests. Breakfast on both the Saturday and Sunday morning were tasty and lots of it. ( Veronica your scrambled eggs are just as good as Grahams!!). Although myself and Paul were too busy being photographed to taste the canapés Jackie had sorted, I was told they were delicious. Now the wedding breakfast. I can honestly say it was THE nicest wedding meal I had ever had and was told the same thing by nearly all of our 98 guests. In fact I'm sure some of the plates would not even have needed washing as they had nearly been licked clean. We had vegetable soup, had a choice of Chicken with Haggis/Whiskey sauce and the Beef and then Lemon Tart to finish. Can not recommended these enough.

Rooms
All my guests loved their rooms and they were clean, warm and with every one being different they all loved checking out each others rooms. We had the Honeymoon suite which was fantastic and from the beginning of the weekend we felt like royalty.

Staff
Everyone who works at the venue were the cherry on the cake. Accommodating, friendly and always went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. They all worked tirelessly and a big shout out for Veronica who worked until the early hours of Saturday morning serving us drinks and was up bright and early a few hours later to serve us breakfast with a big smile on her face. And now for Jackie. She is amazing and for any bride and groom a blessing. Whatever I asked she always said yes. Plus she made some cracking suggestions to us that we had not even thought of that just added to the day.

My husband and I had the most perfect day and I can recommend Moorpark House to any couple wanting to get married. I left a little bit of my heart in Moorpark House however the hole was filled with my memories of a day filled with laughter, tears, fantastic food, hours of dancing, good conversation and lots of love.
A massive Yorkshire thank you to Moorpark House, Jackie, Graham and their staff

I was here for my sisters wedding, and it was fab. Yes it is an old house with older fixtures but they all add to the feel. It would be a crime to rip out all of the history for new fixtures and fittings. The staff are a joy and it is more like a house than a hotel. No pomp and circumstance, just genuine interest and laughter. If you want a posh, marble reception, 6 star hotel....go to London. If you want a magical, amazing and unique hotel then this is your place!

Room Tip: Room 2 is the Bridal suite and it has a dressing room, 4 post bed and fancy bath, but Room 1 has a r...

We got married at Moorpark on 6th Oct and can honestly say this was the happiest day of my life! When I arrived at Moorpark I was feeling anxious that it would all go well, and Jackie and staff soon put me at ease. Jackie is very easy going and I was made to feel at home. Everything went great on the day the food was lovely and all my family and friends said it was the best wedding they had been to. Moorpark was the best place for us to get married, we both loved everything about it right from the start. I just wish we could do it again as it was over in a flash. Thanks to Jackie and staff for giving us such a wonderful day that we will always remember.

We were guests recently at my niece's wedding and would recommend the hotel to couples for their venue,it is a very clean and beautiful building, the staff couldn't have been any nicer and all were very friendly and helpful. Our room was spotless and we had a very comfortable nights sleep. The wedding meal was delicious and the buffet breakfast was very good and i liked the fact that we had the exclusive use of the hotel and grounds and was secure enough for all the children to play without having to be watched all the time. The only complaint i can make is that the drinks were a bit overpriced and although the room was lovely we thought that was a bit overpriced also.

Was recently a guest at a family wedding and although this is a lovely venue i found there were lots of small niggly issues that need to be addressed, things such as -
There are no waste baskets, the owners dogs were sitting on a sofa in reception that guests also sit on, grubby blue table cover in the reception, dirty white seat covers in the ceremony room that were used for a previous wedding and not changed, hair dryers in a couple of the rooms were not working, some of the toilets in the room did not flush properly, square table covers on round tables.
The staff seemed really laid back and didn't seem to do anything with any urgency. Drinks are a bit pricey and a couple of the guests paid for vodka and coke but actually got a straight coke!!

On the positive side the main meal food was fabulous, but there didn't seem to be a lot of hot rolls for the evening buffet, the toilets downstairs were clean, the grounds are fabulous for wedding pictures, there is plenty of parking, and you have exclusive use of the full hotel for your wedding party making it very safe for children to have a little freedom to play.
