Very comfortable and informal family friendly hotel. Comprehensive breakfast, not just the usual bacon & eggs. Dinner was a highlight, very interesting menu and reasonably priced and varied wine list. The new owners/management team of Dave, Lesley, Eloise & Alan works extremely well. They were excellent at their previous hotel in Killin, and Killin's loss is Auchterarder/Dollar areas' gain.

We stayed for 2 nights with a 6 month old baby, looking for a break away with good food but also a baby friendly venue. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant with all of our baby requests. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was great, very tasty. And to top it all it was good value - we got an extra 10% off our whole bill as a special offer. Just what the doctor ordered and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!

we stayed in the Tormaukin for one night only, but only took one night to fall in love with the place, the staff were fantastic and the food was to die for, drink prices are fantastic too!

we stayed in room six, was very homely and great decor, you are supplied with towels and bathrobes, and the bed was so comfortable it was too hard to get up in the morning lol, and i just love the cottage feel :D

my boyfriend is a keen walker so it was really good that there was a few walks right next to the hotel, i would definetley recommend this hotel to anyone if you fancy a nice warm, comfy night away from the hustle and bussle

The single room I had was good value for £40 B&B. What makes this hotel outstanding is the quality of service from well motivated staff and the excellent food served in the restaurant which really is outstanding and worth the detour.

Had a couple of nights here for the Knockhill BSB event. We'd done the same last year. Only a short ride to the circuit. The twin room last year was lovely. This year we booked a bit later and only "stable" rooms available - this room wasn't great but OK. However, the food both nights was very good, as was the real ale, although only one on tap this time. Breakfast was also good. Staff were friendly and helpful.

If the new owners do up the stable rooms to the standard of the main hotel rooms, this will be an excellent place to stay. Currently I'd recommend the main hotel rooms only. Food and drink good and locality to circuit good so will be booking in for next year.

The new owners was keen to hear our views - they had only opened the week before and seemed keen to take on board what we had said.

I do recommend this place and hope they can sort out the few issues remaining.
