My husband and I went for evening meal on Saturday 16 Feb 2013. It was for my husband's birthday but it also coincided with their Valentine's Event. What can I say, from the moment we arrived the staff could not do enough for us. The venue was beautiful with roaring fires in each room. I do not eat meat and one staff member in particular, deserves a special mention, Maria - she was very helpful with the menu and the chef was happy to adapt a meal to suit my needs, although very kindly, after some input from Maria, then offered to cook me a meal from the lunch menu instead. The food was delicious and it was exceptionally good value for the quality and freshness of the food provided. I can highly recommend the baked goats cheese, tomato and onion marmalade tart yum yum. Defo going back next month for my birthday but hopefully can book a room next time so that we can experience the full Tormaukin hospitaility from start to finish. Thank you for a fab evening.

We stayed here (in October 2012) when taking our grandson back to Strathallan School after his half-term holiday. What a wonderful place to just take a deep breath, sit back and relax. Our room was delightful, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food in the dining room was par excellence. I know it's easy to say "We'll be back" but we will be - at least twice this year (booked already).

We stayed on the 17th and 18th Jan and it was a great place for us to go for peace and quiet. Just like we had wanted. We own a pub and just wanted a quiet little place to relax. Log fires, warm and friendly, great food, great staff.
One word, Tremendous! We paid £140 for two nights bed and breakfast and it was well worth it. And the dinners both nights were to die for.
If you want a lovely little place to go and relax then this is it, trust me you won't be disappointed.

A family of 3, we stayed for one night but wished we could have booked for longer. A really lovely little hotel with friendly and helpfull staff.
The rooms are a good size, very clean and modern and most importantly warm and comfortable. Free tea and coffee with biscuits, still/sparkling water and toiletries. Towels are also included in the room.
We enjoyed an evening meal at the hotel. A lovely menu with lots of choice and a good childrens menu plus a large selection of wine to choose from. I had the chicken stuffed with haggis which was brilliant, my husband enjoyed a steak, while my 2 year old enjoyed, melon and pasta and chips!!
Evening is generally spent around the log fires with a beverage of choice.
Breakfast was again very good with superb choices of cereals, fruit, yoghurts, biscuits, cakes, juices, full scottish Grill, to name a few.
Lots of walks just outside of hotel, so no need to drive. Loch Leven close to hotel as is Stirling and Edinburgh is only an hour away.
We really enjoyed our stay and we will be returning very soon.

We have not stay at this location but were staying nearby in a Chalet and decided to have a drink on our way back, so glad we did. Such a lovely location with friendly attentive staff and very dog friendly as our Sproodle Hamish will testify. We initially went into the reception/bar area and found seats in the window by the lovely open fire, Hamish soon settled down and there was no objections from anyone to a dog lying by the fire. We had such a lovely time we decided to return on foot later for an evening meal. No problem with reserving a table in the bar area so that Hamish could come back with us. On returning to the Hotel our table was not ready but shown into the lounge area and drinks were fetched for us. The staff could not have been more attentive in both the afternoon and the evening. We had a beautiful meal and had only wished that we had known about the hotel when we booked our accommodation. We will definitely be thinking about coming back and staying with you when we are next up to visit family in the area. Thank you all again for a lovely experience.

Really nice place to get away from it all. Lovely food served on NYE with 5 course meal and staff are very professional and approachable. Lovely log fires and nice bar area. Only thing I would reccomend is having some tables of two rather than seated with at tables of with couples. Lovely as they were it was our first weekend away and would have been nice to dine on our own. Our room was in the stable block and this was a very nice room. I'm giving it an excellent as would certainly return.

Just fabulous food, exceptional service, very friendly staff, great value. Will certainly come bk. 10/10. Couldn't fault. Location may be out of a lot of people's way, but it's worth going there. Fabulous ambience in hotel. Beautifully decorated. Very traditional.
