The Hotel management need to realise that in this day and age, you should not have to ask for the T.V. changer and no guest should enter a cold room in the winter months, nor should you have to ask for a fan heater.. A lesson in good British hotel guest relationship is required to be taken by the management, so that they understand what is expected, e.g. that the bath and shampoo sachets, be replenished each day.
A wi-fi booster is required for the upper rooms, to ensure continuous connection.
The hotel rooms are well decorated and most have en-suite facilities and there is plenty of hot water.
The staff are polite and helpful.
The food is good and plentiful, with excellent full English breakfast.
For the price, with the exception of the heating and T.V. fiasco, it is reasonable and with a little work and education, could jump a star.
