The room was nice, bed fine and shower good, but unfortunately there were people coming and going all night - the motel room doors shut very loudly, and the exhaust fans in the bathrooms are so loud that you can hear them from other rooms.

We stayed in a Svana spa suite after having purchased a living social deal. It was exceptional value. The room was extremely large and spacious, modern with a comfortable lounge, a desk alcove, and king size bed which was very comfortable. The bathroom large, double spa Ba'ath, separate shower and nice big fluffy towels. The restaurant was excellent for both breakfast and dinner. There is also a large gaming area in the hotel. The wine list is quite extensive by the bottle, but options of wine by the glass should be improved to include more quality local varietals. The hotel is an old winery, but there isnt a winery there any more. The location of the hotel is conveniently located between Adelaide, McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills. It would be a good base for an extended stay.

We stayed 2 nights over the Australia Day Weekend. It is the only motel accommodation in this area and it suited our needs perfectly.
We took the cheapest option - self contained room - which while a little dated, it was okay for the price. It had a separate bedroom for my husband and I, and a sofa bed for our son in the lounge area, with a kitchenette and bathroom in between.
Bathroom was clean and large enough for our needs. There was only 1 tv in the lounge area, which was not flat screen, but did the job when needed.
We did not have breakfast in the restaurant as we woke too late on both mornings for the 9am cutoff for breakfast. Perhaps they could extend that time, especially on weekends. Instead we went to a lovely coffee in the main street of Old Reynella called Annie's Cafe who have a lovely all day breakfast.
Yes the motel is close to Main South Road, but no worse than alot of other motels in Australia, that are on major roads, in fact, I found the traffic noise was not an issue at all. I had more trouble on the not so comfortable bed, but it was okay once I got to sleep.
All up, St Francis was a nice economical stay for our family visit to Adelaide southern suburbs.

We found the resort to be very nice for our overnight stay. The room was clean and spacious and looked out onto the inner courtyard. I found it quiet and restful and provided a good base for our day out at the southern vales.

Room Tip: The rooms facing the inner courtyard are quieter

We needed to be in this area for an overnight stay. Motel is on a very noisy road, and the traffic keeps going by all day and night, although a bit quieter at night. In the room we had, the window was very dirty and dusty, with lots of cobwebs, so much so that you could hardly see out of it - not that there was a view!! The room we were put in was near the kitchen, and quite a bit of noise came from there during the evening. The room was a little tired and needs some upgrading, but overall it suited our one night stay.

A nice place to stay but in a bad location next to the freeway. The rooms were clean, comfortable and modern but bathrooms could use a renovation and spa bath is very small. Breakfast was very average and probably not worth paying for but service and staff were very friendly.
