The Cedars is run by a young couple - Gillian and Damian - who have clearly put a lot of thought and effort into creating this very impressive B&B.

Here're ten things you can expect:
1) The two rooms are in an annexe from the main building, meaning that your quarters are separate from the owners.

2) Large room with dimmable lights, skylight, comfortable bed, sofa, wardrobe, flat-screen TV with DVD player on wall, fridge (with milk!), biscuits, tea/coffee making facilities, dining table for breakfast.

3) Modern, sleek bathroom with large walk-in shower and skylight. Small bottles of shower gel, shampoo etc. from The White Company. Robes and slippers provided.

4) Breakfast - the hallway that connects the two rooms cleverly converts into a continental breakfast area in the morning (8am-9am). Plenty of cereal, fruit salad, croissant, yoghurt, and cheeses are laid out for you to choose from and eat in your room. If you want cooked food as well (trad. English, or smoked salmon and scrambled eggs) you can use the phone in the hallway to order.

5) The hallway also contains a decent DVD collection of fairly recent titles.

6) The Crown pub is right next door. Decent food, reasonable prices (~£10).

7) The bus into Bath can be caught right outside. Running every half hour, it takes about 15 mins to get to the city centre, and a return adult ticket costs £4.20.

8) Free parking.

9) Free Wi-fi.

10) Check-in: 4pm-6pm, Check out: 11am

If you don't mind travelling into Bath by bus and the price fits your budget, this is as good as it gets - book with confidence!

We stayed here for one night on the way through based on the reviews and we weren't disappointed. The room, the breakfast, and the proprietors were everything the previous reviews had suggested. All top class. A lovely place to stay. Next time well make it for longer!

We stayed here in July, for my partners birthday and it really was a wonderful place to stay. A lovely welcome, and beautiful weather (lucky for us!) Plus a place to park!! A spacious and very clean room, and with everything we needed. Breakfast was lovely and relaxed, you must try the salmon and scrambled egg...YUM!!! To travel into Bath is very easy, the bus stop is just outside and £4.20 for a travelcard. Thank you very much to Gilly and Damien for looking after us and hope to come back :)

What a fantastic place! Lovely, spacious room, comfortable bed, large, modern bathroom. The room is well equipped, with hairdryer, local magazines, fridge, towels... Everything! Superb hosts who created a warm and welcoming atmosphere whilst giving us our privacy to enjoy our holiday. A perfect balance. Oh, and fabulous food, super easy bus to Bath and great DVD collection. Just what a weekend away should be... Better than home.
With young children we don't get away often so we have been delighted to find such a great place. Thank you.

Me and my partner visited bath for the 1st time and compared to many of the city centre B&Bs this one was cheaper and has free parking too.

Really cannot fault the experience, the couple who run the place were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you, my cooked breakfast was gorgeous, the rooms were spacious and absolutely spotless (I don't think I've been to a hotel that has been as clean and tidy!), the building itself is like something out of grand designs.

It is 3miles outside of bath, its a really easy drive to the centre or to visit nearby villages (we can recommend the Muddy Duck in Monkton Farleigh for food) , the bus stop is directly outside the house and there is a nice pub next door.

Would definitely go back

Spent our 21st Anniversary weekend in Bath. Had not been before, so wanted to pick a great location to stay. Have to say, this is everything and more that all the TA reviews cover. Simply lovely accommodation, perhaps the best hosts I've ever experienced, a fabulous location to get in and out of Bath easily, and next to a real ale pub!! Can't ask for better than that. Highly recommend anyone to go to The Cedars and enjoy the warm hospitality and a little bit of luxury!
