Stayed for two nights at The Cedars. We were very impressed-lovely modern, immaculately clean hotel. Lovely welcome from Damian and Jilly, and everything thought of to make our stay special. Very comfy huge bed, and terrific power shower. Breakfast was amazing, and we loved the open-plan kitchen/dining room/lounge. We could park all day in the hotel car park and catch a bus into Bath (about 10 minutes ride) and the bus stop is right outside the hotel. The Crown Inn, next door, is a lovely place to eat in the evening. We will definitely stay at The Cedars again.

My friend and I have just returned home from a lovely two day stay at The Cedars. I guarantee you will receive a lovely warm welcome from Damian and Jilly just as we did. The twin room was well equipped with a tv, wi-fi, hairdryer, floor fan (for warmer nights), tea/coffee and the usual toiletries. We had a lovely view over the garden with squirrels putting in regular appearances. The shower was a good size and with ample hot water from a powerful shower...lovely! I would defy anyone to find fault with the breakfast. Crispy bacon, meaty sausages and me being a potato lover was happy to see sauteed potato's on the menu. My friend thoroughly enjoyed her scrambled eggs (we imagine the chickens must have been corn fed due to the wonderful colour and flavour). For the waistline conscious there was fresh fruit salad, yogurts, cereal and muesli on offer not to mention croissants and other pastries and an array of tea's to choose from. Parking is not a problem on site and a regular bus service right outside (£2.35 per person for single journey - correct Sept 2012) takes you into Bath Town Centre in approx 10/12 minutes. We got a cab back one evening and that was just over £9.00. A lovely lounge is available to all residents to use and there is even sherry on offer to round off your evening! So, in a nutshell, if you are looking to stay near to Bath then consider The Cedars first - I promise you won't be disappointed!
PS .....keep a look out for the wonderful Charlie - he's gorgeous!

What an amazing property, it really is like something off Grand designs! We stayed for the weekend to celebrate our first wedding anniversary & loved every minute! We chose to stay here as it looked more our cup of tea. Other hotels in Bath looked floral and old fashioned so we were pleased when we stumbled across & booked this little gem!

Both our room & the communal areas were modern, very clean & had lots of little gestures that made all the difference! We enjoyed having amazing power showers and sleeping in a huge, very comfy bed!

Damien & Gilly are fantastic at what they do & could not have made us feel any more welcome or at home! They were chatty, friendly & happy to help & advise on what to do & where to go.

Breakfast cooked by Gilly was scrummy & cooked to perfection! Great location, short drive/taxi away from Bath city centre & the racecourse which was also great! Roman baths was a brilliant place to see but the fashion musuem was a waste of time, save your money!

Would love to revisit but would definitely stay for longer next time. There was just so much to see & do in Bath/ Bathford, just not enough hours in a day!

Staying at the Cedars was bliss. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay one that will remain with you, long after your travels are over. The rooms are modern, fresh and clean and the showers are just wonderful. The rooms overlook a beautiful garden setting and the breakfast is excellent. Its more like staying with good friends and quite frankly up there as one of the best bed and breakfasts we have ever stayed at.

The Cedars combines the friendly intimacy and personal touch of a B&B with the style and personal space of a hotel. The owners live in a house right next door so they come across to check you in and cook amazing breakfasts, but otherwise leave you to have the run of the place, which is a nice change from some B&Bs.

Rooms were lovely and a great shower. Felt very luxurious. Lovely pub with French bistro menu next door. Easy bus ride or taxi ride into Bath which means avoiding the parking charges. Nice to be able to borrow DVDs and just relaxe and enjoy this lovely accommodation too. Highly recommended.

We loved our stay at the Cedars. The owners are very friendly and the breakfast is superb. They cook your breakfast to order when you arrive and are more than happy to swap and change it. The room was spacious and the shower was lovely. They also have a stack of DVDs/Books you can borrow and watch/read. The pub next door is nice with good food but it's far enough away that you can't hear it from the Cedars. All in all a lovely stay and we'd def recommend it.
