Owner description: PECORAMA - one of East Devon's leading visitor attractions, is set on a hillside above the pictureque fishing village of Beer. It is home to the mile-long Beer Heights Light Railway with its fleet of miniature steam locomotives; the famous PECO Model Railway Exhibition featuring superbly detailed layouts in every major gauge and the PECO Millennium Celebration Garden, five stunning Garden "rooms" based on a celestial theme. Children's activity areas feature the wonderful new indoor 'Play Staion' plus an extensive range of outdoor play equipment, whilst grown-ups can try their skill and stamina on the Crazy Golf course and Fitness Trail. There is a varied programme of entertainment throughout the summer season, including children's shows featuring jesters, clowns and magicians performing under cover of our own big top, the PECO Marquee. The displayed opening times are for the summer season only (Easter to October). During our low season, the Beer Heights Light Railway and Gardens close but the Model Railway Exhibition & Shop, Garden Room Restaurant and Play Station Soft Play area remain open. Please see our website for these facilities’ winter opening hours.

Just the place for grandad and the kids, and grandma too. Stations, halts, cuttings and tunnels to travel through on shiny steam trains. Large model train sets to play with. An adventure park, beautiful gardens and panorama. generous cafe/restaurant. Free car parking and Beer village falling away at your feet. A delight.

Close to here is the Seaton tramways which is a proper half-sized tramline with trams running through open countryside. Pecorama is okay but I cannot imagine anyone spending much more than an hour here.

Brilliant views. You can travel round on a small train, walk and sit outside or wander around inside and see whats there.

Something for everyone with great model railway exhibition, miniature narrow gauge railway, gardens and kids play area. This kept us busy for most of the day without the kids getting bored. Tea/coffee in the Pullman coach is a must and the staff are great; friendly and helpful. If anyone in your family likes model railways or your kids are looking for an outdoor play area to run off steam then this is the place to come to.

We went here while on holiday with our 2 boys aged 3 and 7 (both train freaks). They LOVED the little steam train and had a few rides on it. They also enjoyed playing with the hornby trains and would probably have stayed there all day had we not dragged them outside to the gardens. A lovely place to go, gorgeous gardens and a play area that kept the boys happy for quite a while :)
