Our 'Bay View', experience!

Arrived in Beer around lunch time, raining hard, parked car, ran to ' The Dolphin Pub' for a sandwich, met a few very friendly locals who predicted rain all week! Moved on to ' The Bay View Guest house' to be welcomed by Nicky. We were shown to our room which was large as B&B's go and very well appointed, with a sea view, very nice shower room and very comfy bed, things were looking good!

Things continue looking good at breakfast with a varied selection to choose from which proved to be very well cooked and served by staff who were easy going, efficient , with a good sense of humour!

To sum up, ' The Bay view Guest House', we could not fault it if we tried, the whole place was not just clean, it gleamed, the rooms were serviced to a very high standard and for £ 74.00 per night it was very good value!!

Would we return? Already planning to!!!

ps The Beer Quarry Caves are a must see!!!

pps The locals got it wrong, the weather was mixed but mainly sunny!!

Room Tip: Room 3 was very nice, with a sea view!

Good value for money. Rooms are compact but nicely decorated and modern. Great location overlooking the beach at Beer with a sea view from many of the rooms. High quality and plentiful cooked breakfasts with some choices taken in the adjoining team room (connecting door to guest house so you don't have to get wet if it's raining). Parking permit is included in the nightly rate for car park 100 yards away in the village. My only criticisms (minor) is that it was quite impersonal compared to other B & Bs we've stayed in and the bed was a bit soft.

Just spent 3 nights here, very happy to recommend this guest house. Spotlessly clean, lovely room, excellent breakfasts and really helpful, friendly staff. The location is great, just a few steps away from the beach and Beer itself is delightful.
If I could make one suggestion - our room overlooked the main street and with a big window, we too were overlooked by the pub opposite and therefore had to keep the curtains closed most of the time; a blind would be useful, don't really want to be seen in my towel after a shower.
As I said though, practically perfect, we would return again!

We stayed for a weekend at the bayview and fell in love with the place. Friendly staff, spotlessly clean room, great sea view from bedroom window. Breakfast exceptionall yummy, didnt want to eat till the evening. It was my partners 40th birthday during our stay, a birthday card on our arrival, nice touch. Went to Buckfastleigh Abbey (free to look around, bonus) this was an alternative to going on the Railway to Totnes. Declined trip due to Thomas the Tank engine weekend. Ate in The Anchor, Ginas and Indian restaruant all very nice meals. Favourite being
The Anchor. Loved the atmosphere Ale and food. All in Beer. Cant wait to go back and stay.

Room Tip: Room No 5 good sea view

What a lovely place to stay, absolutely faultless. We were fortunate enough to have a sea view which of course was good, despite the weather.

Breakfast was an enjoyable occasion, not only was the food extremely good but the young girls were so friendly and helpful.

The added bonus was being given a ticket to leave in the car, allowing us free parking all over the weekend.

Almost forgot to mention the lovely comfortable beds, perfect.

Definitely plan on going back.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view.
