After a long journey and no room at the inns, after yet another street of walking there was Dave watering his hanging baskets.we were expecting another no,but by chance a room was available. This was an amazing find,a little gem nestled in a beautiful village, only intended to stay one night but stayed on extra and will be returning.
Dave, wendy made you feel very welcome, both rooms we stayed in were the cleanest we have ever found on our travels even in so called top Hotels all the other guests we spoke to agreed.
This has to be down to all the staff at the COLEBROOKE,last but not least the breakfast was second to none, nothing was to much trouble, friendly advice was always at hand.
Thank you Dave and wendy and all the staff you dont see, that has made our stay an amazing one.

Room Tip: It did not mater to us

Beautiful setting, lovely warm welcome when we arrived. The rooms were exceptional and comfortable and were cleaned daily. The breakfasts were to your own personnel preference and cooked to perfection. The hosts were warm and friendly and offered advice about places to sightsee and how to get there. For a B&B I would rate this as the best one I have ever stayed in our only regret is that we didn't stay long enough.

We booked for two nights and both were excellent all round!! The hosts were lovely people, very friendly and very helpful when we needed information about the local area. The en suite bedrooms were very well equipped, very clean and serviced every morning. The breakfasts were superb on both mornings, cereals, full English or omelettes, scrambled eggs, toast etc. We would definitely recommend Colebrooke House.

Room Tip: First floor rooms have less stairs to climb!!!!!

This was our fifth visit to Colebrooke House and yet again everything was perfect. The house is always exceptionally clean, the rooms are decorated to a high standard and having stayed in four different rooms now I can say they are all equally comfortable.
Dave and Wendy (the hosts) are friendly and helpful to all the guests, breakfast variations are accommodated with no problems and the full English is superb and Wendy's fried bread is incredible.
My wife and I both think that five stars is not enough for Colebrooke House as the experience of staying there is absolutely superb.
Already thinking about going next year.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front overlook the main street but this is not a problem as traffic is not excessive.

I arrived at Colebrooke House to join my family. My room was excellent - the decoration was bright and tasteful and everything was spotlessly clean. Everything in the en suit bathroom was gleaming and looked as if it was brand new, though it was just the result of the pride Dave and Wendy take in their rooms. The following morning breakfast was enjoyable. We were greeted cheerfully by Dave and the full english breakfast was excellent. We were given friendly advice about places to go and walk with something to interest most tastes found locally. Both Dave and Wendy couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly.
Beer itself is a beautiful village with its distinctive stream running down the main street and a variety of places to eat. Beer is renowned for its eating establishments with each tempting you with excellent food (not an easy place to diet). Unfortunately my time in Beer passed all too quickly but I will be back in Colebrooke House in the Autumn.
I have no hesitation in recommending Colebrooke House to anyone.
