Apart from the bed being a little too soft for my liking (although Shelly did change our room to a one where the mattress was a bit harder) we had a lovely stay at Durham House. The entire place always smelled so fresh and clean and there was always someone about to help us when we needed it. I understand the point someone made about the carpark but, in all fairness, very few B&Bs on the Jurassic Coast offer *any* parking provision and so a free parking voucher was a nice change; we came and went over 5 days and didn't have a single problem parking. The breakfast was delicious and I suggest the French Toasted Cinnamon Muffins with Fruit and Maple Syrup.... the Vegetarian Full English was also very tasty. The waitresses, again, were very well turned out, friendly and gave a very good service. All in all a great place to spend 5 days in June :)

Oh, and the Minton tiles on the hallway floor were nice to see too!

We returned to Durham house after staying last year, and will definitely be returning next year. Owners friendly, breakfast amazing and the room clean and relaxing. There is literally nothing bad to say about staying here or in the amazing village of Beer it is all perfect

The last room available was the room with a separate bathroom. No problems with that as it was slightly cheaper. The room itself was very small with a double bed. Nowhere to sit other than on the bed. Other rooms, which we did see, were much larger so if you want one of them don't except this room - room 4. There was no robe or anywhere to place clothes or personal items. The bathroom was also small, but well equipped. The show itself was small but did the job. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choices. Staff/owners were brilliant & couldn't be more helpful. Lovely town & great location. Only reason not excellent for us was that there were no larger rooms available.

Sweet, clean, pretty, right on the main road. Fabulously comfortable rooms. Good views. Televisions and coffee in the room. Private bath with modern showers. Close to nice shopping and cute shops. Really helpful managers. Lovely!

We went to Durham House just by reading up on recommendations and looking at the website. I'm pleased to say we were not disappointed. Its a lovely place to stay; located in the heart of Beer, we were so pleased we went back again and are booked to go again later this year. The accommodation is very clean, which is very important to us, and equally so, very welcoming.
The breakfast is absolutely top class - and really sets you up for the day.
So, if you are looking for a really decent place to stay with great accommodation, don't let Durham House pass you by.

Room Tip: ASk for your preferences - they will be happy to describe the rooms to you.

Stayed here when walking the SWCP. Very welcoming hosts, lovely comfortable room with all that ( very light) backpackers needed. We had a large window overlooking the very pretty village, and the B&B is in a great location. Breakfast was also very good.
