Nice for a walk, however we wanted to walk all around the lake but found there weren't any signposts to help with this.

Went there for the first time today, stunning woodland and a lovely lake. Did around 8 miles through the forest, definitely worth a visit. Lovely cafe by the lake as well, also well worth a visit.

We were driving to our hotel from a day out at Longleat and had some time spare and saw a sign for this place. Not knowing what it would be like we decided to check it out and wow what a find. It was so beautiful and peaceful and so quiet. I could spend hours here reading a book and relaxing. Well worth a little trip out to if you're driving past or in the area

We came on a Sunday for a family walk and picnic lunch. Had hoped to be able to walk around the perimeter of shearwater lake and eventually managed to do so, but the route was not obvious and the track turned into a logging route used by logging trucks. Then we had to join a road without pavements to complete the circular route. Not an ideal walk for young children. And not enough picnic spots to choose from.
