The pleasures of Crete was a beautiful tour, especially the traditional cafe were we stopped to refresh - cold beer on draft and the service and hospitality second to none - managed to do 4 tours which were all unique in their own way - afroditi's in Platanias fun train station was so helpful - we will definitely be back

This is a reasonably priced, friendly service. It offers a range of interesting tours around hill-top, coastal and historic sites with an informative commentary in English. My partner is a wheelchair user and when we booked to go on the two trips we took on this service, we made this clear. We had been advised by our hotel that the Little Fun Train has wheelchair access. Unfortunately, despite having to tell the service provider in advance about our access needs, when the first train for which we had booked turned up it was the inaccessible carriage set on the route we had chosen. This meant that we had to cancel this trip as we couldn't do it. We re-booked and the subsequent two trips we took did both include the wheelchair accessible carriage. Unfortunately when we booked we were not told that a number of the stops on both of the routes we had chosen were inaccessible, meaning that my partner could not get off the train and join in the parts of the tour which were conducted on foot. We were not even told this when getting onto the train. We only found out that stops would be inaccessible when we arrived at the stop and were told by the train crew that we couldn’t get off. Besides the obvious disappointment and inconvenience, we feel duped. Clarity and honesty is all we ask. We should have been told about this when we made the booking and/or we arrived at the train. Instead they seemed to be more keen to take our money. This is a pity because the tours themselves are in fact quite interesting and entertaining, for non-Disabled people at least. We hope that next year when we return all of the little fun train carriage sets have wheelchair access, that the sites they choose to visit have improved access, or, at the very least there is greater clarity and honesty on behalf of the booking service and train crews.

We took three of the Little Fun Train excursions and would thoroughly recommend that you give them a try. They are very reasonably priced (16 euros each for a 3 1/2 hour tour), with commentary provided in English and Greek.
My favourite tour was Pleasures of Crete, which visited the Monastery, and included a visit to the Terra Creta Olive Oil distillery.
A great trip out for both families and couples alike.
