A few months ago in summer I took a walk around Agia Marina and visited Mastorakis Village only for maybe half an hour, and it seemed that nothing had changed since I spent two weeks there three summers ago.

I stayed there with my wife and two ten year old boys. The hotel is basic but somehow very relaxing and for us at the time very therapeutic, some days it felt like a private villa as there were no other guests around. The room we had was a one bedroom apartment on the second floor which was very quiet and we were not disturbed by any noise and it was cleaned daily.

There is a bar at the hotel which never got too loud because the hotel is only small. Every apartment overlooks the pool which is nice but only small and is also cold due to the fact that it doesn't get much sun.

The location of the hotel is perfect, tucked away a few metres down a quiet passage where you could believe you are off the beaten track but it is near all the best restaurants and tavernas in Agia Marina, some are on the little street beside the hotel and a couple of others are a few minutes walk away into the back of the resort. I have got to say that that some of the tavernas that I visited were the best I have known in the Greek islands.

The beach is also two minutes walk away.

The two weeks I spent here really relaxed me.
