“Horseback riding was fun for all ages”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 10, 2014

Our four children range in age from 18 years old to 5 years old. This was a great activity for everyone. Our youngest rode in front of her dad, and was able to control the horse sometimes. My seven year old did wonderful controlling her horse on her first real horse ride. The teenagers loved everything about this adventure, especially the waterfalls. This was the first horse ride they had been on that they felt like they controlled the horse instead of the horse just following the horse in front of it. The horses were very responsive to direction. Jose was a great guide, taking the time to point out things around us, and to teach us how to use the stirrups to have a smoother ride when the horses would trot.

“Awesome Experience at Vista Los Suenos for Family”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2014

The entire experience was fantastic. All employees are great, Jose is an awesome horseback guide, the views from horse and zip lines are spectacular, and the waterfalls/pools were amazingly refreshing. The prices are reasonable, and both activities were equally amazing.

The horses were great, very well trained! Jose was our guide and he was awesome, a great local guy but speaks great English as well. Not much to say except I would for sure do it again!

“great fun trip”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2014

Likes: Great friendly guides. Horses appeared calm and well cared for. Beautiful waterfall & pool for swimming at the end of a long hot trail ride was nice & refreshing. Dislikes: the trail was VERY steep with loose sand in several places, although the horses did all right in it I couldn't help fearing that one might slip and fall and throw their rider off the side of the mountain (thankfully that did not happen!), no place to change out of your wet swimsuit so you have to wear it on the ride back, hiking to & from the waterfall was fine for my young family however some older tourists had difficulty and you wouldn't want to attempt the hike if you have bad knees or not in good shape

“wonderful, fun experience - worth the cost!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 22, 2014

The horseback riding was fun; very sweet, gentle horses, and Jose, the guide was knowledgeable, courteous, and caring.
The ride up the mountain was breathtaking. The trail (steps) down to the waterfall was fairly easy going, just some loose stones/dirt, but it was the dry season.
The hike back up the trail/stairs is a little rougher and steeper; may be difficult for older people or those with bad knees/ankles. Jose, the guide, was very patient, allowing me ( age 50+ but healthy) time to climb back up, resting a couple of times. My 20-year-old daughter, meanwhile, just capered up the trail!
I would definitely recommend this activity - what could be better than seeing the beauty of Costa Rica as it should be - on foot and horseback as it was done in simpler times!
