A complete rip off from the moment we arrived. Mouldy and smelly rooms greeted us. The breakfast was one stale bread roll with meat and cheese and the service was terrible to say the very least. Do not stay here under any circumstances.

Joseph is very kind and helpful, he organizes half/one day trips over the island (at a reasonable price) and he's a good and well prepared guide. He's also available to rent you one of its cars if you need it for a self made trip. The residence is very simple but clean. Breakfast is not that rich but it's good and acceptable. I think a reasonable price for one night-double room + breakfast is about 90$, more than that is too much and I got a discount from the initial 120$ after a quick discussion (we had some complaints). However, in general, a very nice stay for people without too many requirements..

I was not very happy with this hotel because there is a lot of broken promise from the hotel manager! I booked a single occupancy and paid USD110 for 4 nights. When I arrived, they lead me to a room with 2 single bed, so I said I thought it is a double bed. They said it is no problem, you are alone. Then, I met a guy from US the next day and he got a room with a double bed, a much nicer room and he paid USD60 for it.
On top, the hotel manager tries to persue ppl to buy the tour from the hotel and end up paying USD60 for the entrance fee. If you take a tour with the tour agency, it is only USD10. But the hotel manager will not tell you that.
The hotel manager tried to book a tour through the tour agency and the tour agency refused to give me any space until he used my name. It is something to be aweared!
On top, they said got WiFi, they will turn it off anytime they want.

The rooms have a musty smell though the floors are clean. The showers were bad. It was difficult to adjust the temperatures of the showers. It took long time for the warm water and within a minute the water turned cold.

The toilet flush was also not functioning well.

The hostel staff agreed to assist us with the booking of tours but they booked for us only one full day tour and forgot about the half day tour. We reminded the hostel staff to confirm our tour booking but the staff carelessly told us that they did the booking (without even calling to check with the tour company).

Even the meals requests were not well followed up. Bad communication between the hostel staff and the agency.

Look elsewhere in Rapa Nui, there are more and better choices !

Staff was very friendly; food was good (breakfasts & 1 lunch). Internet access (WiFi) spotty - even within a few feet of the router but it was free (password required). No form of entertainment/communication (TV, phone, radio) in room. Would recommend the hotel conditionally....
