The path to the beach is blocked so if you want to get there, you need to roll up your pants and walk through the water. However, the water is warmer than Anakena. It's worth the trouble

Away from the tourists, need hiking boots to get down to beach, beware of tide current. Locals know this spot...a bit off beaten path, Need a map.

One of the guide books claims this beach has pink sand. It does not. After a heavy rain the red scoria rock washes down and mixes with the sand but in my opinion it just looked brown. Don't walk down there with your bottle expecting to scoop up an unusual colored sand.

It is a nice little beach. Not a lot of people there since there is a short muddy and rocky hike down to it. My mother (65) has a bad knee so she did not risk it. Even a healthy person could slip and skin a knee on this trail.

Knee and waist high breakers at the shore. The water is stirred up for the first 30 yards, but as soon as you get past that the water clears up. Really nice corrals and fish to view. I preferred snorkeling at Ovahe over Anakena. If you have kids Anakena would be better.

Quiet beach but the sun goes behind the cliff in the afternoon. Great swimming.
No facilities so take your picnic with you

Since this beach is smaller and a little harder to get to than Anakena, most tourists don't come here. But they are really missing out! It is a gorgeous little pocket of beach!
