“Amazing Staff!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2014

Rarely do I log on to post a review, but the staff of Tea Nui really bowled us over. Their hospitality and genuineness made our stay on the island unforgettable. From a moonlit BBQ with locals and guests alike to booking an all day tour, Maria Paz and Maria Cristina were amazing :) The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Hanga Roa and a stone's throw from the coastal road and banks. I can't thank the staff enough and wish them all the success they deserve! I will dream of the amazing guayaba juice :)

Room Tip: Wifi is weak all over the island. I recommend sitting by the office if you need to access your email...

After spending a week in Santiago on business i decided to take a flight out to Easter Island, a flight back the next day before heading back home. I emailed a few of the hotels on the island, Tea Nui were the only ones who came back to me. Considering i was on the island for less than 24 hours Tea Nui were great in picking me up at the airport and dropping me off with a rental car to get the most use of my time on the island. Accommodation was adequate, clean and functional, but staff was what made the stay excellent.

If rated on a continent, this would probably be a three, but hey your 2200 miles from the nearest continent! The rooms are large and each either has a patio or deck. The beds were comfortable. There was coffee and a fridge in the room. The shower would run hot and cold as you were standing there, so you needed to adjust to that. It did not help that the 24 in our group were on the exact same schedule. Breakfast was good, but do not plan an early start as the staff is definitely operating on the laid back island time. You could get breakfast by 8:30 though. The staff was generally friendly and helpful. It is within walking distance of downtown, shopping, dining, beach and airport. A very enjoyable stay.

We arrived very late - 3 days late due to our flights being cancelled from Papetee. The hotel is close to the airport - everything is close - which was ideal. The rooms are ok, big and a nice comfy bed, but really hot and only a free standing fan to cool it down. We had a room downstairs and asked to be upstairs as the downstairs rooms were a little too accessible. Breakfast was ok the first day- basic but expected but essentially the same thing every day and after three days it is very monotonous. Just bread and cheese and ham. The people were nice enough, but the pickup from the airport was late, and we were dropped at the airport at 10.30am for a 2.10pm flight, and even though we were only 5 minutes to check in we were left at the airport. There is a lot of fruit in the garden but none is offered for breakfast except for a small fruit juice drink. So easy to get from this level to outstanding but to be honest the people didn't really care about us.

We were in another hotel for a night and found this place really charming so we booked the rest of our stay there. The rooms are in good size with nice balcony or terrace. It is fairly central and easy to park your car if you have one. The receptionist, Morgan, was really helpful and very kind. There is no AC, only a fan.. But we didn't need more. The breakfast is simple but there is enough to start a good day. Be careful though cockerels are all around and they start to wake you up around 6am.

Stayed at Tea Nui for 4 nights in early November. The rooms are clean and looked to be updated recently. Considering the price for aaccommodation on Rapa Nui this place is very reasonable for what you get.
However, the staff takes this hotel from great to amazing. We booked at the last moment and had no time to get in touch with the hotel to tell them what flight we were on. They ended up showing up to meet us at the airport (there are two flights from Santiago every day and they just planned to show up to both). They also took us on a quick tour of the town and showed us some good things to do and places to see.
The breakfast was a bit basic, but it was enough for us.
The hotel also booked a full day tour for us (cost of 40,000 pesos per person - this included a delicious lunch). The tour was very good.
We would not hesitate to stay at Tea Nui again & recommend to friends and family.

The staff is very nice and friendly. They've showed us the town, the places to go to eat, to see sea turtules,... after picking us up at the airport.
We stayed in a caban with 4 adults and 2 kids (5 and 7). The caban was spaceful and nice, but dusty (the dust is mainly due to the permanent wind, just walking outside will give you the impression to be cover by dust). The hotel has free wifi at the reception.
The breakfast is basic, but good. As they don't have a restaurant section, the breakfast is served in your room at a fix hour (you can't choose).
The hotel also takes care of the different tour bookings and provides all the informations you need about the isle.
We've stayed 3 nights overthere, on our way to the French Polynesia, and we didn't regret it!
