Pool was empty, sauna and solarium was out of use, food was ok when it finally arrived. Hotel was drab and looked and felt more like a home for the elderly.

The swimming pool is an outdoor pool which operates from Spring Bank Holiday until mid September. During this guests visit, 11th to 15th May the pool was beingrepaired prior to filling. The sauna and solarium were in use but this guest did not request to use them. This guest was with a package holiday group of 46 people. All other guests were complimentary over the quality and standard of food. What this review failed to mention also was that all 46 were served full breakfast in the space of 35 minutes and a 3 course dinner with coffee in 75 minutes. With regard to the furnishings, they are in keeping with the age and period of the building - obviously not to their taste.
No representation was made to the management during this guests' stay of any issue whatsoever.

We were 4 friends on a cycling holiday and this hotel was right on the cycle path so the location was perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful, but this could not disguise the fact that the whole place was very tired. The hotel was overpriced, uncared for, paint peeling off walls, dark and dreary decor and furnishings with awful plastic settees and chairs. We arrived with no-one in attendance and had to ring a phone number and wait 10 mins before the proprietor turned up - no-one lives on the premises - a most bizarre set up indeed. I really do fail to see how hotels think they can get away with such poor standards - it could only happen in the UK.

We took our son and daugter-in-law for her first visit to Wales and I am ashamed that this dreadful hotel was her first introduction. We arrived on a very wet cold evening to be greeted by an off hand proprietor who just told us our room number and directions to them – no porterage and not even taking us to them to show us.

In my son’s room the windows had been left open so the room was freezing and the bed which was in front of the window was damp. Despite the fact we had only been there 5 minutes the proprietor had left the hotel and did not return for ½ an hour and was disinterested in the problems.

The reception was unintended for most of the time we were there. The cleanliness of the rooms, especially the bathrooms, left a lot to be desired and we only endured one night of an expected 3 night stay. All in all a very upsetting experience and I would not recommend that this hotel.

After reading the preceding reviews we were anxious about staying at the Greenhills.

We were then pleasanlty surpised to discover friendly and helpful staff, a clean and well looked after hotel, with food that was excellent - all this for a very reasonable price.

We were a party of 51 walkers, and the hotel suited us perfectly.

Would recommend any party to stay here as a base for an exploration of Pembrokeshire.
