60 Euros for an old stinky, tiny room, with no tv, fridge and telephone is way too much!!No good ventilation, so if your partner uses a toilet, make sure you open wide the window before he lives...On the same street you can get a nice room for rent for only 34 Euros.Never again!!

Room Tip: Ask for one with window on the see side. Never to the court!!!!

hotel was in a great location, right opposite the beach, with free parking overnight. we only stayed one night, and did not have a pre booked reservation. the room we were given was dark and dinghy, with a rather tired carpet. bed was comfy, bathroom was large but no shower curtain. no complimentary toiletries, only one small hand towel provided. breakfast was charged at additional cost, and was minimal and very little choice. bar was open in the evening, but nobody there to serve you. reception staff friendly enough, and other guests friendly. overall it was an average place but higher than average price. probably would not stay again

Hotel close to Calais and virtually on superb beach. Wissant is a pretty, small town, on the coast. Beach great for kite surfing and other windy pastimes. Old hotel in need of a refurb, but spotlessly clean and friendly. We didn't eat there which was possibly a mistake in retrospect. Breakfast seemed expensive for what it was - one warm croissant, cornflakes and bread I guess the low price reflects the lack of modern facitities. The ensuite was tatty, but clean and functional.

right behind the dunes,on a pretty sandy beach ,this old hotel is in desperate need of refreshment, which is slowly in progress.
No TV 's or Radio,we could get Wifi.We rented an Appartment for a week.Clean & quiet, and very cheap,we had no complaints. Huge Fridge ,big cooker/stove ,plus microwave.Dining room seated six in comfort.Double bed, plus click-clack in living room, shower /bath/toilet.
Entry with Bunk bed.sleeps six.Around 380 euros for the week , now thats a good deal .
Private parking ,very peaceful spot, just off the beach .
Restaurant served standard fare.Good local restaurants ,such as the "tie - break " in the attractive old town. Not to be missed is the wednesday morning market , great value clothes and local food .Stock up with local ham n'cheese ,local "2 Caps" beer, and there is a great bakery.
Very helpful ,friendly Tourist Office in the Town Hall. For 10 euros you can buy a fishing permit for the scenic lake which is also a bird sanctuary.
The Hotel has no frills ,dont expect a Hilton. Its perfect for a tranquil family break, and it wont break the bank.
All you need is a bucket & spade ,and with luck some sunshine...

Room Tip: take an appartment overlooking the pond

In a traditional building, this place has the potential to be wonderful. Simple decor, original wooden floors, but rooms ill thought through, with inconvenient fittings, eg the shower curtain that drapes itself round you as you shower, the bedside lights that are out of reach and far too bright. Staff were pleasant enough. Dinner was OK, if dull. Breakfast OK, but the orange juice was industrial pretend orange juice. Therefore, while the hotel was not awful, the price was way more than the value provided.

i booked this hotel on the internet as it was near the old german fortifactions that i was visiting, there seemed to be only two hotels to choose from one was more expensive so i decided to book this one, i filled out the internet form, and they let me know by email and then i had to ring the hotel to confirm we saw that one review said they didnt speak english so we booked the hotel using our best French! i then read the reviews (sort of backwards way) and oh dear what have i done, but i thought well we will expect the worst and to my supprise it was really nice, old in need of updating, good food, good shower, no thrills hotel, the staff were really nice and helpful, then i realised what the reviews were about, if your a typical English type person who goes to France and expect the french to speak english who i add the french dont like that type, go elsewhere, this is a good french owned hotel who like you to understand your not in England anymore, and i think being close to Calais alot of English would visit that area, i live in Guernsey channel islands and know how some English behave just remember your in France

What can I add to the comments of other reviewers? On our second morniing during breakfast I was asking for a second serving of bread, which I got, only to discover that one of the baguette peices had been on a table before: it was already cut in half and there were traces of marmelade on it.
NEVER again!
