Had a wonderful lunch here. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly, but what made this so special is the restaurant's location right on the side of the bay - which with the most fantastic surf made it an amazing place to eat. Would definite recommend this place.

El cotillo is such a small town that it's hard to imagine why anyone would want to come here, but for us, the wonderful Vaca Azul restaurant was a perfect end to a wonderful day in this sleepy fishing village. The service was great, and you can't beat the views!!

On our 1st night in El Cotillo we ended up at La Vaca Azul. We decided to have a mixed paella with a mix of seafood, chicken & meat and the dish was very generously filled. However, I missed the rich paella taste we experienced when eating the same dish at other restaurants. Furthermore price wise the restaurant is also a bit more expensive then similar restaurants. The service however is very good as well as the spectacular harbour view!

We were not sure whether to try La Vaca Azul although it had been highly recommended, as our 2 yr old daughter rarely gave us time to enoy what was not going to be a budget option. However, the location and the menu won us over and I am so glad. The staff knew how to cope with a toddler and made sure she had crayons to draw with and that her food came first. Their attentiveness and the view of the sea kept her entertained so that we were able to enjoy not 2 but 3 courses and coffee. The fish was all fresh and simply but perfectly cooked and the puddings delicious too. A lovely place and a great menu. We will definitely return when we are next on Fuertaventura.
