This tiny roadside bar/restaurant sits alongside the surf school, on the edge of town, bordering the dusty landscape leading to the surfing beaches.
The male chef and delightful female 'front of house', give you the warmest welcome ever, as did the best ever tomato bruschetta, where most are just passable. The small menu is on a blackboard, and uses ingredients creatively; one night it included an unknown pasta, with an onion, walnut and red wine sauce. Have relished everything I've ever had there, and wish they could be discovered by more visitors. The warmth and enthusiasm of staff is unrivalled.
The exterior had the ubiquitous plastic 'brewery' tables and chairs, but the inside has a delightful rustic, but modern touch.
Prices are amazing, house wine is a joy, and a complimentary glass of ice-cold Limoncello rounds off your meal. Oh, there's free WiFi to boot.
Please look it up at c/Hermanas del Castillo 4, El Cotillo. You deserve it.
