The view outside the hotel is perfect. We stayed here for 2 nights. The staffs were nice, but they couldn't communicate with you properly bec of language barrier. We had problems charging gadgets bec not all the sockets are working and they have rounded shaped socket. Buffet breakfast in the morning was served hot and with nice presentation. I gave an average score bec of poor ventilation. I know we came in Autumn season which is naturally cold season but when you're already inside the hotel room,. it's really hot, they don't want open Air condition during Autumn, and a very slow wifi.. but it was a nice stay though

This hotel was booked for us by a Korean friend of my boyfriend's sister. We were chasing the cherry blossoms and this area was forecast to be the best on a particular weekend. We gave her free reign to book our train tickets and hotel as she saw fit. As such we did not have any expectations of the property.

It is approximately 20-25 minutes from the train station to the hotel. The hotel is located well outside of Jecheon and our cab driver had some issues determinig where to go even though we had the name and address of the hotel in both english and korean as well as a picture. He finally used the phone number of the hotel in his GPS to figure it out. It cost around 20000 won for the trip.

The check in was seamless, the man at the desk spoke english and was able to answer our questions. There was free wifi on site. The reception area smelled like candy and vanilla. In the lobby there is a small convenience store, a Nescafe coffee shop and a restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner (also possibly lunch). There is also a small area with books you can borrow. Down one floor I believe there is a pub and a karaoke room but we did not go to that level.

Our room was fine. It was a basic 3 star. The carpet was in rough shape, the beds were hard, the sheets had stains on them but they had been washed several times since and were clean. The bathroom was plain but functional. A lake view room had been booked for us and that was what we received. The view was beautiful. The room had a single bed and a double bed, adequate lighting, tv, slippers and a safe.

We ate two meals at the main restaurant. There is nothing else really in the area for food options. There are a few restaurants down the road but the walk would be about 30 min. Our dinner was very good. My boyfriend had some sort of stew which came with the usual variety of Korean side dishes. I ordered the carbonara which was surprisingly well done. Our waiter tried very hard to help us choose our food, he even offered us his phone to type in words for translation. Breakfast the next morning was a bit less impressive. The fresh fruit with the western breakfast was an orange slice, it came with a green salad, the eggs and bacon were fine, the juice glasses were very small. The breakfast costs the same amount as the dinner from the night before.

For us the location was the most important factor. As predicted the cherry blossoms were in full bloom when we were there and we were able to see and photograph the blossoms simply by walking along the main road. We walked quite far in each direction and all along the way were cherry trees.

The pool was closed during our stay and appeared to be in need of serious repair. The grounds of the hotel are quite lovely. We were here for only one night and that was enough. There is nothing to do in the area so I wouldn't suggest a longer stay. There is another Benikea hotel right across the road. We did not go inside but the outside was nice. Be sure your taxi goes to the right place.

When we were checking out the girl at the desk had very limited english skills but she was able to order us a taxi from town to take us to the bus station. We had to wait 25 min for the taxi to arrive and then it was another 20-25 minutes to the station. Be sure to leave yourself ample time if you need to catch a specific train or bus.

This hotel met our needs but I wouldn't recommend it if you have no real purpose to be in the area. It is not a destination hotel or true resort hotel. If you expect a 3 star experience you will not be disappointed.

Paid a lot of money for EVERYTHING being closed for our 9 nights! Bar closed, pool closed, spa closed! Had to pre- order our meal otherwise the average waiting time was an hour and a half for a pizza. Paid for lake view, ended up over-looking the car park. No shower curtain and the tiles and grout covered in mould. Ended up having to buy drinks and snacks to keep us going from a tiny 7 Eleven. REALLY SAD : (
