First of all I shall say that the hotel *really* isn't as bad as the above people say. OK, so it may not have all the luxuries of a Hilton, but this IS North Korea after all!
When we stayed for two days we were put into a very well furnished and by the look of it, barely used room. OK, so the plug sockets varied in voltage depending on which side of the room you used and the carpet was more of a tattered rug, but it was clean, had warm water (which is all you really desire in the DPRK) and had a nice view over the beach.
Some rooms do come with air conditioning (which I certainly didn't expect) whereas some do not. But when we switched rooms to give our other travellers our air con'd room, it was perfectly bearable.
Oh, and the rooms are MASSIVE... About the equivalent of a suite anywhere else, so no lack of space :)
All in all, it's about a 1 Star English standard, but as you won't have a choice make the most of it! :)
Plenty more photo's on Flickr of the hotel/area...
