The place is meant for people like me who prefer warmth of a home than the cold & impersonal hotels. It is quite basic in terms of facilities, but tastefully done. Imagine yourself in a home on the hills, a home that is beautiful and in the midst of nature where you have nothing to do, but walk around, catch up on your reading, talk and just relax.
You get the kitchen to yourselves, so for people with small kids, this is ideal. Also, if you are lucky you may get some fresh veggies from the front garden, ask Mahesh the care taker.
BTW, for those who like some action, there's Naukuchiatal that is walkable (again, ask the care taker for a short-cut) and Nainital for some more action! We did paragliding the last time we were there (October 2012) and it was heaven!
