We went on a Friday night without booking and the place was packed. We expected to be turned away, but they asked us to wait and we got a table within 20 minutes.
The menu contained old favourites and interesting new suggestions. The decor was of a high standard and the waiters were smartly dressed.
It was clear they were over-stretched and orders were taking a long time. The couple next to us left without eating and were quickly replaced by others waiting in the reception area.
We weren't in a hurry and when our food arrived it was very good. Once we had finished we were asked if we would like a complimentary drink in the reception area – they were clearly desperate fro our table.
To be recommended, but not if you are in a hurry. An early week night might be best!
