Description: Welcome to The Long Apron The signature restaurant of Montville’s picturesque Spicers Clovelly Estate. The Long Apron is a dining experience that insists on a lengthy stay. Our tasting menu doesn’t change every season but when the time is right. It is an ‘organic menu’ that adjusts to the changes constantly happening around us and highlights the best of our region, seasonal European inspired dishes, which blend classic techniques and the finest local produce with exquisite results. Alongside The Long Apron is our new The Short Apron, diners can enjoy as many dishes as they wish from our seasonal A La Carte menu, offering a relaxed, fresh and zesty dining experience Our enthusiastic kitchen team are continuing to showcase the best of the Sunshine Coast’s stunning produce. We source our produce from our local growers, catchers, farmers and makers, some of which are providing bespoke ingredients for both ‘The Long Apron’ and ‘The Short Apron’ menus. The property’s garden and wild bee hives add to our sustainability commitment and emphasis on fresh and local.

Sometimes you think, I just need more than a rating of 5. This is it. Location. Service. Design. View. Comfort. And then, the food. Onion soup, but not as you know it! Try a stubby, opened at the table and gently poured into a plate of delicious vegetables. Even the amuse Bouche amazed and it wasn't just one taste. Crispy kale as salt and vinegar chips along with a Parmesan donut and aged salami balls rolled in ash, and on and on. I simply cannot do it justice. This is one of Australia's most innovative chefs in a million dollar location. A credit to the Spicer's Group, thank you.

Just returned from a two course lunch at the above restaurant, which has lovely views and a delightful garden.

Whilst the food was tasty, both courses were very small, befitting the Long Apron's well credential led five course degustation. Add two light beers at a reasonable price and a glass prosecco (very expensive at $18).

I think the quality of the food and location would suit a special occasion degustation, but it was a somewhat disappointing lunch.

Excellent and innovative cooking in a location that is just perfect. Would highly recommend the degustation with matching wines. Go early to enjoy the sunset too.

If you want to treat yourself to a night of fine food, I have no hesitation in recommending The Long Apron. The tasting menu with wine was truly wonderful, and for a special occasion it will not disappoint. Staff were very friendly and helpful too, lovely when fine food, great service, and a beautiful location all come together
