“Beautiful taste of the hinterland”
Reviewed April 13, 2014

Everything tasted so fresh, full of flavour and home made. Lovely service and lots to choose from. Nice wine options. Pork belly with scallops was very special

“Great lunch w/ great service”
Reviewed April 11, 2014

With my mother visiting we wanted to find somewhere nice for lunch. Reviews looked good here so we gave it a try. We had tempura avocado, fish and chips, BLT wrap, Wild Rocket Works and the kids homemade hamburger with chips. Service was very friendly and prompt. We were all very happy with our meals. The price was reasonable, especially given the quality of food and location. The bread on the burger and Works were yummy!

“Beautiful Meal”
Reviewed April 6, 2014

We ate here on Friday night. Staff and service was great. The live entertainment from Zambabem Brazillian Street Music was perfect for the evening.
Our main meals of Crackled Free Range Pork Belly and the Chicken special of the night were absolutely delicious. Bel's Birthday Cake for dessert was AMAZING
We would certainly recommend this lovely restaurant and we will eat there when we next visit Montville.

“A nice experience”
Reviewed April 1, 2014

We dined here on a Saturday night, it was not exceptionally busy, so staff were very attentive. My entree was the tempura soft shell crab which was lovely, my friends enjoyed the soup of the day.
Mains ..I decided to try the smoked beef cheeks after a high recommendation from the waitress, my only complaint was I would have liked more of the beetroot to cut down on the richness and less of the puy lentils and that was shared by another diner at our table. Other meals were the pork belly, barramundi and the ravioli which everyone enjoyed.
Deserts now that could be hard, I tried the expresso Pannacotta, and to be trueful I have had better a strange combination with fig jam, my friend decided to be adventurous and tried the blue cheese soufflé spiced tomato chutney etc sorry .....so wrong when we told the waitress she replied yes I agree and they are taking it off the menu but no replacement was offered, rhubarb crumble no rhubarb but was far too sweet, creme brûlée the best .
All in all a pleasant experience.

“Staff Excellent Food Poor.”
Reviewed March 22, 2014 via mobile

The Staff and service was excellent but the food was poor. Special of the day. 'Bug Salad' was mostly a bowl of bean sprouts and the single piece of bug was about 1.5 inches in length and barely a thumb width.
The Poms Ploughmans Platter was just acceptable. Definitely over priced. Perhaps we just selected the wrong dishes on the day.
