We stayed in the self catering accommodation which is next to the Carbis Bay Hotel, first impressions of the apartments as you go to the left of the hotel under the viaduct were very good.
The accommodation seemed quite new, really well furnished to a high standard and the apartment was imaculate! We stayed there with our 2 daughters who are 5 and 2 years old, and they loved it. Nice views from the balcony through the arch of the viaduct, the trains were not a problem at all, they were only small local trains with ran approximately every 20 mins to and from St Ives. The beach was next to the hotel was beautiful, and very clean. We did have lunch in the hotel, the service was quite good, but the hotel did appear tired and in need of some money spending on it, I would say it looked more suited to shall we say the more mature person! But if you planning a to go to Cornwall wether your a couple or a family I would highly recommend the self catering apartments.More
