“Absolutely brilliant”
Reviewed January 4, 2014

Just returned from yet another brilliant stay at the Kenmore Club.
We were there over New Year and it was so nice to be away. The fireworks at midnight were absolutely brilliant and out did the Kenmore Hotel and Courtyard ones by miles.
Reception staff and bar staff are so so friendly and we always get a warm welcome.
The house we stayed in was great. Very clean throughout including glass wear, cutlery, bed linen, everything. Beds are very comfortable. No complaints at all. Heating was great and we were nice and cosy during our stay. The Waterfront bar is warm and cosy and we had a fantastic meal. The portions are so big. I had the haddock which was lovely and fresh. I then had the crème brulee which was delicious. I hope they never ever take it off the menu. Fit to burst, we asked for the bill and also got the most amazing tablet. We had to wrap this up in a napkin and eat it later. A great place to stay with our only negative being that they allow dogs at the complex.

Lovely resort in a beautiful location. Stayed over Christmas and was greeted by a lovely member of staff who gave us keys and explained everything to us.

The cottage was nice but the living room/ kitchen was on the upstairs which confused our dogs as they are not normally allowed upstairs in our house so took us ages to get them up the stairs, they kept looking at us as to say is this a test bless them.

The living room was massive, loads of space but seemed like it never warmed up despite having the heating on full, the bedrooms on the other hand warmed up beautifully. We were in a cottage at the top and was quite difficult to get things from the car (long path, up steps etc) wouldn't usually be a problem but we had a lot of bags/ presents as it was christmas. There are cottages with easier access so request one if needed.

Like I said the location was great and staff wonderful. Kenmore village was just the cutest village I have ever seen. It was a lovely short break.

We picked up a late booking.com deal, got a great price and had a lovely time with our toddler daughter. The cottages are brill - spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable. The staff couldn't be nicer.

If you have kids, you'll probably like:
- nice little play area on the site
- the pool - really, really warm and welcoming and perfect for little ones - there was a few floats out when we were there too (I enjoyed the sauna and the jacuzzi too).
- to take some bread for the ducks - hungry ducks down on the shore adjacent to the hotel.
- lovely walk to Taymouth castle on a good tarmacked lane - perfect for a buggy, and no cars either. Walk into the village and through the big gates at the Kenmore hotel.
- nice coffee shop/bistro pub across the road - had a nice big box of toys and an open fire.

These self catering apartments are right on the banks of Loch Tay on the outskirts of the tiny village of kenmore. The apartments are amazing and probably the best i have ever stayed in. We were lucky enough to get one with fantastic views of the lock which in November were amazing.. The apartments were very comfortable and the location was very quiet and ideal for a quiet break. There is a nice swimming pool and bar and restaurant on site. We tried the restaurant on one night and the food was very nice and not too expensive. There are some excellent walks fron Kenmore and some excellent places to visit. I will definately go back.

Room Tip: try and get one with a view of the loch

I can't say enough about how amazing this place is. The bedrooms are on the ground floor, with the living area on the next floor up giving excellent views over Loch Tay, which are simply stunning.
The accommodation is second to none. The staff are extremely pleasant.
A Piper entered the small square on one of the mornings of our visit. He played a few scores that we could sing along to. It really made the visit one to remember. He then slow marched, still playing, out of the square. Fabulous atmosphere.
There are lots of places to visit, and many attractions within a short drive.
Across the Loch is a Crannock. You can go along and pay a visit and even have the chance to try your hand at ancient crafts
The fitness centre is quite small, but this isn't a huge problem. The indoor pool is well worth a visit
All in all, a fabulous place to stay. We will most definitely be staying there again

Room Tip: All the lodges are of outstanding quality

The Kenmore Club is an amazing place to stay in the heart of Perthshire. The setting is a fairytale location on the shores of Loch Tay and most of the top notch accomodation is set in a walled garden which is part of an idylic castle a short distance away. The self catering appartments are fitted out to a vey high standard. There are plenty of places to eat out locally if you do not want to cook.
In the last 12 years since we first discovered The Kenmore Club we have visited this location over 35 times and have never had a disappointing visit.

This resort is a delightful "cottage village" on the edge of the historic Scottish town of Kenmore in Perthshire. The cottages themselves are duplex in nature, good sized, well maintained and comfortable. On the edge of Loch Tay, this resort really has it all; great location, practical (self catering) accommodation and friendly staff. The on-site Waterfront Restaurant serves excellent food at reasonable prices should you not wish to self cater. There are also some fine restaurants nearby, within walking distance should you not wish to drive.
Good gym and swimming pool in the club house and lovely walks directly from the resort. The view over Loch Tay is awesome. The surrounding scenery rivals New England for fall colours and I fully intend to return in the Spring to see the new growth bloom! Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Try to get a room directly overlooking the Loch.
