Such a shame, this is a smart modern building in a wonderful location. We stopped for a coffee mid-afternoon on 16-8-13 and had to wait ages to be served. There was one waitress trying to cover indoors and outdoors tables and she looked quite harassed, though pleasant when she did serve us. Lots of tables had not been cleared.

The furniture was suffering quite badly from wear and tear and the paintwork was extensively stained from the wood burning stove and old cobwebs were hanging from the extremely high ceiling. It is not cheap (£2.35 for a coffee), so should be a lot better. There is so much choice of cafes & restaurants in this part of Highland Perthshire, so try elsewhere!

We ate here twice during our stay at the Kenmore Club. The big plus was that we could take our dog with us into the bar side of the restaurant. The menu does look a little pricey however the food was of an extremely good quality. Good selection of beers and whisky as well. The only slight negative was that compared to some other places in the area the childrens portions can be small (more appropriate for a 6 yr old rather than a 10 year old)

We went to this restaurant after a game of golf. We asked for the menu and were told the specials menu was only for dinner after 6.30pm. We reserved a table for dinner, saying we would like to come back for the specials. When we returned, as we sat down, we were told all the specials were off the menu, but the Chicken Madras was available.

The restaurant was empty so who ate the specials? Were there any specials or was this just to get you in the restaurant and order from the OVER priced menu.

The staff were unapologetic and unhelpful, what happened to Scottish hospitality.
In Scotland we would expect Scottish beef, Salmon, Trout and fresh vegetables not a Chicken curry from a bottle (as recommended by their staff).

Thank you for your review, we’re sorry to learn of the disappointment experienced during your recent visit to The Courtyard.

Our specials evening menu is available from 6.30pm most days. This menu offers dishes in addition to our full restaurant menu and is designed to sell seasonal fresh produce quickly. Fish, all from Scottish waters, features prominently in Summer whereas in Autumn there will be little fish available on the specials when we will have local Glen Lyon hill lamb, wild mushrooms, wild venison and perhaps the occasional brown trout.

It was unfortunate we had sold out by the time of your arrival for dinner late Sunday evening. It was also unfortunate you did not stay to dine with us in order to establish the comments made in respect of the Chicken Korma, freshly made that day, or to try one of the wide range of dishes from our normal menu including Scottish home smoked salmon, Perthshire barn reared chicken and Angus beef.

We hope you enjoyed the golf, the course has received great feedback this season having been described as “quite magnificent” and “outstanding”.

After a walk up the nearby Falls of Acharn, we were running late for coffee and dropped in just after noon. The menu encouraged us to have a snack lunch. My hummus was home made with good olives and pitta; the others enjoyed their dishes. The staff were very accommodating, allowing us to choose food that was normally only served to mid-day without demure.
Comfortable large sofas or traditional tables and pleasant outside seating. Service not fast but good if you are chatting with friends - wouldn't do if you were in a hurry but as most of their customers are on holiday, appropriate.
