Owners gave a lovely warm welcome on arrival, plus a hamper of food essentials, caravan was immaculate and well equipped. Site was quiet with lovely views, steep path to beach but well worth the walk for excellent breakfast at the Wonky Cafe, also excellent meals served at Propeller Inn.
Would definitely recommend this caravan and we will be back
Just spent a wonderful week at the Rain or Shine caravan on the Isle of Wight. The van itself is immaculately clean and well presented and has all the amenities you need including ironing facilities.. It is a great place to unwind after a day of exploration, whether you go around the island by car or cycle, or if you stay close by and explore the locality by walking along the beautiful coastal paths.
The Sandhills caravan park itself is positioned with a great view out onto the sea and is a very tranquil place, which is just what you need if you live in a busy city. It is a short walk to the lovely unspoiled beach of Whitecliff Bay (where the Sea Devils famously came out of the water in the 1972 Doctor Who story starring Jon Pertwee) which has 2 cafes serving food and drinks and is great to relax/swim/sunbathe/BBQ.. The village of Bembridge is a short drive away and has some nice cafes and a supermarket (there is a handy onsite shop at Sandhills also) and it is short walk up the hill to the Culver Haven Inn or if that's too strenuous, you can walk across the fields to the Propeller Inn..
In short, highly recommended!
We have just returned from a fabulous week at Rain or Shine. We were met by the lovely Heather & Bob and made to feel very welcome. This accommodation was spotlessly clean and had everything you could possibly need for a peaceful holiday. The site is beautiful. There is a well stocked shop for papers milk etc. including alcohol. The grounds are very well cared for and there is ample space between each caravan so you don't feel overlooked. The beach and lovely cafe are 5 minutes walk away downhill - not for the faint hearted. Youngsters ran down elderly needed to be a bit more athletic. Bembridge is lovely to visit and watch the boats and world go by as is culver down.
I look forward to visiting again hopefully this year.
We had an incredibly relaxing stay in this very spacious and beautifully light caravan in Sandhills Caravan Park. It is set in a gorgeous location looking over the sea and 5 minute walk from the beach. It's also very close to the picturesque village of Bembridge where there are some great cafes and shops.
We slept very well in the comfortable beds and it's alway nice to have a powerful shower in the morning!
Will definitely be returning!
Enjoy a wonderful break in this tasteful and immaculately maintained Caravan that has everything needed including an extra spacious power shower and two Loos. Perfectly located overlooking the sea with direct access to the pretty beach and a friendly cafe serving hot / cold drinks, breakfast and tasty 'lite bites' ...
A Convenience Store and Garbage Disposal are within a few yards, and a parking facility alongside. Picturesque Bembridge village is nearby with pretty shops and two good Eateries.
Highly recommended all round, and I look forward to a return visit ASAP ...
